Hi all I am currently back at my docs after some truly horrid months with this disease. I was diagnosed with endo 2 years ago, it was on my bowel and pouch of Douglas but they couldn’t remove it due to its location. I was put on the mirena coil which has helped as I don’t have periods but I still have

GP appointment
Hi I had my GP appointment on Friday which went well (I think) I am now taking 150mcg levothyroxine from 125mcg levothyroxine with a repeat test in 6-8 weeks. I have also had it confirmed I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and I need to avoid gluten and possibly dairy since I am lactose intolerant. TSH

Hi I wanted to keep this one separate since there is a long history behind this - I would like to know if I am still iron deficient and that my doctor is treating me incorrectly? I had an iron infusion in May 2016 ordered by haematologist as a one off and this helped my ferritin but not my iron or complete

New private blood results contradict the ones from gps. Shall I tell doctor?
Hello, I just got the results from the blood tests I did in Italy while visiting my family, 10 days after the ones I posted about recently were done. I did these tests because I like to know what my T3 is, but also I have an appointment booked in December with a private endo also in Italy who is trained

Can I take Iron tablets with a ferritin level of 40 (range 13.0 - 150.0)?
Hello, I feel very tired and breathless, struggle with memory and concentration and need to sleep a lot. I was prescribed Ferrous Sulphate last year when my Ferritin was 25 (range was 10-284), so I doubt the doctor would prescribe again as it looks better also given the different range. I am already

Ropinirole dose
Had to stop daily dose. One night had great effect but two or more nights dose left me like a zombie. Chatted with gp and she agreed ok to take every other night or even once a week so reassured. I can cope with a few nights of RLS and using co codamol and know I can pick a night with no events next

GP prescribed vitamin b compound tablets for b12 deficiency
Absolutely flabbergasted! As I mentioned in my initial post my GP wanted to try and treat my b12 def by oral supplement. I managed to persuade him to instead give me loading shots. I have just been to the chemist to collect some other meds and the prescription was there that I hadn't collected. I thought
