Hemoglobin dropped and iron tablets not working

Hi all! It's truly all a balancing act isn't it? Within 6 weeks time my hemoglobin dropped from 14 down to 10. My iron was very low so the iron tablets aren't getting absorbed so I'm back to iron infusions. My folate and b12 levels both very good. Guess it truly is a balancing act. My horrid cold is better but cough is hanging on. Both doctors did not feel the cold affected hemoglobin or iron but it did raise my white blood cell count. I'm happy that my blood work is run every 6 weeks so they can make adjustments to my treatments. Scheduled for iron infusion next week. Despite the news I'm not upset as I know treatments are being adjusted and it's part of package of PA. Got over my cold crankiness after using you all as a sounding board. I thank you all for your tolerance! I had more energy this week and even got under my cabin and added extra insulation to my northwest facing sill plate which is a yucky job with a good deal of crawling in a 2ft high crawl space and working upside down! Got it done and a little sore but do not feel too bad at all. Oh one more thing: the irritation from peeing B12 was a skin sensitivity issue after all. Doctor said some people have more sensitivity than others. We have that remedied now too. So all is well in my corner of the world and just wanted to give an update.
