Post-ablation pain
Hello ladies. I had a laparoscopy and Novasure ablation a couple of weeks ago. I'm now having the equivalent of a period - no blood, just thick yellow gunk (rather than the watery discharge I've been having since the op). The problem is the cramping: it's horrendous. I've always had painful periods,

Arthritis exacerbated by fall
I recently fell and broke my pelvis..fortunately no surgery was required..just rest and exercise Seven weeks on I’m worse than I was to begin with ..the pain got worse when I stopped using my cane Does anyone think that the pain I have now is related to the arthritis I already had prior to the fall

Do most people with liver disease have anemia? If so, what kind of anemia.
I have seen so many people with liver disease with anemia as the first sign of their diagnoses and they are put on iron. I am puzzled by that because most people suffering from ALD has high iron levels. and many other liver diseases tend to have high iron levels.

Anaemia
I was diagnosed with anaemia in February this year which kick started all the tests which ultimately came back as cirrhosis. I am waiting to see a hepatologist but an urgent appointment is up to 4 weeks wait and non urgent up to 14. Hopefully i will find out which list I'm on tomorrow. Since the anaemia

Medication
I have been taking co-codamol for as long as I can remember. I hate taking them, they give dry mouth, my skin is dry and they give me constipation. I was just wondering what do all you other sufferers take for the pain.

Osteoarthritis & suppliments
I was recently diagnosed with this condition in both knees. I have been prescribed naproxen - 1x2 daily, omeprazole 1 daily, co codamol as and when I need it, & amitriptimine 1 at bedtime. I was also on voltarol gel which I used 4 x daily but which helped initially on application but didn't last hence

Iron (not ferritin) test
Hello, I'm a little confused and hopefully someone can set me right. I saw the neurologist again yesterday and he was pleased with my ferritin levels (about 120) but he realised I had never had my iron levels checked. I take an iron tablet every other day (although he didn't understand why I only took

Hi all, I was diagnosed with PA & Celiac Disease last October after being sick for more than 6 years. 4 of which I could barely put one foot in front of the other let alone remember why I was trying in the 1st place. Can someone help me with my levels please? Serum folate 22.72 (6.60-1000.0) B12 3258 (180-914) Ferritin 22 (11-307) Trying to figure out if I’m anemic and also what type of iron to take. I have Hashimotos. I use to take sublingual b12 under the tongue (1200mg). Now I just take a B-stress vitamin.

Does anyone use Better You Iron Spray? If so could you share your experience 🙂
I was wondering if any Better You Iron spray users are finding 5mg daily dose enough? Kipsy & I have been talking & both need 20mg. We wondered as it's directly absorbed into the bloodstream would it be as effective as taking a 20mg tablet. We also wondered as it's directly absorbed do we still need

Cancer, sunlight and vitamin D by Michael Holick.
PubMed returns 426 hits for <holick "vitamin d">. The earliest paper is from 1970, the most recent is from Jun 26. I am going to paste quite a lot from a 2014 paper [1], & will end with a few comments. -Patrick ... Begin Holick: Abstract The sunshine vitamin has been associated with reduced risk

I didn't know psoriasis could almost disappear!
After decades of having to use a coal tar shampoo every 3 days or suffer severe itching, flaking, and red spots that bled, I now can go weeks and sometimes months without using any special shampoo and only occasionally using a 3% salicylic acid shampoo. The coal tar shampoo stunk and had to be followed

Too much B12?
Hi all, I wonder if anyone else has had a similar problem? Firstly, I don't have pernicious anaemia. Last year I had awful GI issues and unexplained folic acid and iron deficiency anaemia and borderline low B12. I also have mild chronic kidney disease which, according to the doctors, is not connected
