Hello ladies. I had a laparoscopy and Novasure ablation a couple of weeks ago. I'm now having the equivalent of a period - no blood, just thick yellow gunk (rather than the watery discharge I've been having since the op). The problem is the cramping: it's horrendous. I've always had painful periods, but co-codamol and ibuprofen are barely touching it. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm hoping I'm not alone in this ...

I had an ablation about 18 months ago. It took around 1 month for the pains to stop. Re your discharge I’d ring the Doctors and speak to the triage nurse. If she thinks you need to see a doctor she will make you an appointment. I had codeine for my pain.

Thank you very much for your reply. Glad to know it's not just me! How are you doing now; did the ablation solve anything? I'm starting to regret having mine. I phoned the doctor and she's given me antibiotics in case I have an infection...
I was until about April this year when I started getting severe pains around my ovaries. To cut a long story short I was referred to hospital and I’ve just had my last prostap injection as the consultant thinks I have adenomyosis. The pain has stopped and I see the consultant 4 September and hopefully he will give me a date for a hysterectomy. Before I started with the pains I was fine. The only thing I would say I had was too much moisture if you get my meaning. Feel free to ask me any more questions.

Thank you - I really appreciate you sharing your experience. Did they mention adenomyosis when you had the ablation? The surgeon told me that my womb was red and the walls thickened which could be adenomyosis, but there was no mention of it on my discharge paperwork and no follow up.
