Help recovery time and solo parenting
My patterned goes away early Saturday morning for 3 days and I will be solo
parenting
3 kids 4,8,11. I’m most worried about getting them to school/Pre school on the Monday.

Co-parenting stress
Dealing with co-
parenting
issues is really agitating me right now, and it's under stress during the holidays. I've worked hard over the last few years to resolve the guilt of not being able to tuck my kids in every night.

Life In Hindsight
We probably should have tried to seek help for my mental state, but my parents aren’t exactly models for good
parenting
. Now our lives are separate, I’m away from the abuse, and I’m VERY VERY slowly straightening out my mental health. No promises, but life might turn out pretty good.

** Trigger warning** I don't know where to start...
I know she loved me, but she had unresolved issues with her father which affected her
parenting
style. She would treat me different from my 3 younger siblings (I am the eldest), who I constantly lived in the shadows of.

Denmark also suffers from infertility
My dear husband Erik doesn’t think too much of
parenting
. He’s totally involved in business. He loves me and monthly revenue more than all. He’s 40. He’s often too busy to think about children.

A rare win
One theme I have seen over and over on this site is that
parenting
an ADHD child is a roller coaster ride. And that really resonates with me. I think that because the lows can be so low, the wins seem really big in comparison.

A Bad Day
This is a new concept of
parenting
for me but I usually handle it well. Mentally, I just wasn't ready today. I was like a bear that just awoke from his annual coma and had waaaaaaaaay too many pokes.

Only does a poo in a nappy! :(
I do feel like this situation is a failure on my
parenting
skills. She is just so stubborn and we have tried EVERYTHING to get her to use the toilet or potty. From blowing bubbles to cutting a hole into her pull up. If we say there is no more pull ups she will hold it and make herself sick.

Time for myself
I think a balance of personal life and
parenting
is hard even if you don't have a child with a special need. But if I don't give myself some time to unwind and destress, it's much harder on us all. I have to take breaks to be able to handle the mood swings with understanding.

So very depressed
We are a terrible
parenting
team. He caters to her every whim and holds her accountable for nothing. It has been so long since we have had a date night I cannot remember. Everything we do with the 3 of us. I have told him so many times I need to get out just him and I. Practically begging.

How do you make sure that you balance your own personal life with parenting?
My husband and I try very hard to have some time to ourselves. We try to do a dinner together a few times a month. When our children are in school we have coffee together in the morning before work. I make an effort to meet friends for drinks/coffee/ or a quick lunch. I really make sure to do this for

W5R1 - Running on fumes and frustration
I welcome all running tips,

tips, hell, I’ll welcome
parenting
criticisms at this point. I hope tomorrow’s homework attempt goes a bit more successfully and I really hope Wednesday’s run happens, you know, at all.

New to this site
Parenting
books don't really help. Friends don't really understand or don't see what we see. My eldest wants to move out as soon as possible. This saddens me. Our life is different when our son is not around. I cannot relax in my own house when he is home.
