Hi! I have an almost 5 year old boy diagnosed ADHD who struggles with aggression and impulse control. He's medicated with with Guanfacine. I find that it's not that effective for him. Mostly just makes him tired and less hyperactive. But at this age what I'm really concerned with is not hurting others

Looking for connections and community around being a parent with all of this new information, along with parenting children (6, 10) with ADHD.

After a bit of googling it seems they are possibly suggesting I have rheumatoid arthritis which is nice so I'll be looking for tips on living (and parenting) with this.

Is there anyone here who has similar struggles with parenting and depression?

I have had difficulty in the past setting firm boundaries as I focussed on gentle parenting. We have no idea what to do now. We are constantly walking on eggshells, stressed, tired, worried and upset. Any ideas would be so appreciated.

She does nothing for parenting , the only job she has got to do outside her office is ordering some grocery , folding cloths and making him have dinner. other than this all her time and thought is devoted to think and help about her mother.

Would love to meet people in similar circumstances, parenting alone or coparenting for company and friendship. Does anyone know of any that exist in Norfolk and Suffolk?

She is currently still at school and as part of her GCSE course she has been given the opportunity to participate in a parenting simulation project. she is very keen to do this as essentially you are caring for a manikin doll carrying out all of the parenting duties.

Is there a group to discuss the struggles that can often rise for a parent with adhd as far as creating dangerous situations for the children due to distractibilty, zoning out, not remember basic safety precautions, distractibility when driving, etc.?

I think also where I've been learning so much more about ADHD and parenting kids with ADHD lately, that I've just noticed it so much more and also that I know how damaging his constant critisism of my son is.
