Physio finally came after eleven months.

We were first referred for/to a physiotherapist eleven months ago for my chronic and severe back pain due to four compression fractures in my spine. For eleven months I have been prescribed morphine, paracetamol and ibuprofen.

At last, a very helpful and skilled NHS physiotherapist came this morning and gave me some very useful advice on exercises that would ease my spine and help alleviate my chronic back pain. He also checked I was on the most appropriate medication.

Touch toes ten times, twist spine gently backwards, forwards and side to side. Don't go mad and stop if it hurts, ten times is plenty every morning plus daily walks around the block. He approved my particular rowing machine but said to use it with moderation.

He told me I was doing extremely well considering the Enc, osteoporosis and spinal fractures. He will return in three weeks and continue until the best outcome has been achieved. The wheels are in motion but can be slow. Fingers crossed and tally ho!
