First period after laparoscopy

I had a laparoscopy 2 weeks ago for stage 3 endo removal and cyst removal. I am currently on my first period. I had read lots of stories of it being worse, awful pain, heavy bleeding etc. But I have had a few cramps but these have eased with paracetamol/ibuprofen and bleeding is nowhere near as heavy. I’m not worrying that this is going to get worse but hoping I’ve had a lucky escape. I’m more shocked that I’m actually feeling so much better already. Is my second period now more likely to be worse?

Hey, I'm glad it wasn't as bad as you thought! I've had two laproscopic cystecomys and after my first surgery my period was fine, this time slightly heavier and more cramps than usual but nothing I couldn't handle. Think it depends so much on the individual. Also think I was lucky that both times I had surgery in the same week my period ended so I pretty much had a month to recover!
