An HCV survivor who never had HepC
No never had HCV. I lost my wife Carla DEC 28 2008. Since 2009 a member of Hepatitis C Family and Friends Support Group. Admin for 4 year. This is my life now in honor of my Carla. So often we hear of post treatment health issues, often blamed on the new DAA treatments. I find it dismaying that so many

Cannabis Oils - Best Ones for T-Cell Relapse?
I am wondering if anyone can help point me in the right direction, we are at a loss. My father in law has had a relapse of NHL - TCell 2 years after a bone marrow transplant. His level's aren't balancing out enough to move on with any salvage treatment so we have looked into cannabis oils but finding

The DOOMSDAY CLOCK is running backward
For cirrhosis patients, there has always been a doomsday clock. We all know that there are no treatments and only a transplant can save us. Transplant is on the mind of a lot of us but what do the statistics say? According to the CDC, from 1999 to 2016 over 460,000 people died from cirrhosis. Even today

Good evening everyone. Very new to this virtual world of chatting ! Feel odd. Noone to look in the eyes to get comfort from no reassuring hand on mine. It feels so lonely. After almost 10 years feeling poorly and 2 years on the waiting list, i have been blessed with a liver transplant , 16 weeks ago

VATS BIOPSY RESULTS FINALLY
Hi, I have posted a few times. I had a VATS lung biopsy and have a general diagnosis FINALLY. They first told me they were almost sure I had constrictive Bronchiolitis (thanks for those that have it who were so kind and helpful). The biopsy showed Cellular Interstitial Pneumonitis and most likely Hypersensitivity

Transplant games
I would just like to say I've been to the transplant games in Birmingham and had such an amazing time as a volunteer. If you've had a transplant or waiting I can't recommend it enough. Over 720 people took part after receiving a transplant. Just wanted to shout out about it as it doesn't get enough publicity

Immune suppression mix
Hi I seem to be on a lot of immune suppression. I have SLE & renal transplant. Is anyone else on Prograf (Tacrolimus) Mycophenalate Mofetil & Zentiva (Hydrochloroquine) recently added to the mix by my dermatologist? Just seems an awful lot. I have loads of other types of meds too. I hate to think of

Recent SLL/CLL Patient Question
Hello. I found out I have SLL/CLL earlier this year at 31. I had Rituxan treatment shortly after since I have neutropenia I can't seem to shake. I will save this for another post. My lymph nodes are visible but not huge yet. Since I have 11q I have read it can become a bulky disease. Not sure if they

Anyone run post kidney transpant?
Hi! I am a little over 1 year post kidney transplant. Before transplant I was an avid runner (actually I did the run/walk/run method). Since my transplant I have ran two 5ks and stay active. My goal is to run a half marathon (never done that before). My doctors say go for it but make sure to stay

Treatment going ahead for antibody mediated rejection!!
So lady’s and gents, some may remember my post a few weeks ago about being treated with a form of dialysis for antibody mediated rejection, the docs decided to send me home and watch how I go with my tacrolimus levels being high, this has caused a bit of damage to my kidneys and my bloods are much worse

Advice please
Has anyone had a heart and lung transplant and could tell me how your getting on? What is the life expectancy for this sort of transplant? I’ve been told I need one and will be priority. Very scared and was expecting this so soon. I am thinking what if I don’t have the transplant and the doctors are

Palliative Care
Nothing more to do palliative care it is just trying to live my best life possible. So I went to immeadiate care cause I felt I needed antibiotics and I got them and prednisone but also chest X-ray. Chest X-ray showed an area that could possibly be a cancer but I would be unable to with stand surgery
