My 41-y-o son with Primary Liver Cancer in Ontario, Canada
My son Stephen is about to have TACE treatment shortly. He is currently on the Liver Transplant List. He had a resection about 18 months ago but the cancer returned. Can you please share your story since we do not know what to expect. Thank you.

I miss my old life
I know I should be grateful that I got a liver transplant. Was born with a liver disease so it was a definite that I had to have a transplant someday. I had it 3 years ago, before I turned 18. My mom donated her liver. However I always had a complication with my bile duct. It doesn’t work properly and

Dual organ transplant better than one?
we've heard that, since he is diabetic, he might get a kidney
transplant
sooner if he gets on the list for both a
pancreas
and a kidney
transplant
. Is that true? Has anyone experienced that?

DEATH BY REJECTION
I had a kidney transplant in 2014. I'm suffering with anxiety, depression, and reclusiveness. My life is a mess, and I'm unable to hold down either a job or a relationship. It's pointless being here, and I've had enough. If I was to stop taking my anti rejection medication, how long would it take to

Any positive transplant stories 60+?
I've got a CLL buddy who has just been diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, which is basically bone marrow failure. I'm not clear if this is transformation of her CLL or a secondary malignancy. Either way, she is facing a decision about undergoing an autologous bone marrow transplant. She is in

Has anyone actually tried this?
As, some of you, may well know, I am a Middle-aged Fat man who has 'Non-specific ANCA Vasculitis'. Actually about five different, not specifically named, Overlapping 'strains'. I had a Kidney transplant, in July 2013, and now live in Supported Living. My question is this- Does anyone have any experience

Partial liver transplant
Has anyone had a discussion with their consultant about partial liver transplant from a living donor? My husband has end stage liver disease and although we have read lots of information on liver transplants I can't see anything specifically about living donors. Any advice would be appreciated.

Facing Dialysis and/or Kidney Transplant
I have a GFR between 28 to 34. My nephrologist advised I should meet with the transplant team at my hospital to be evaluated. Up until now, I haven’t seriously thought I would need a kidney transplant. Now, I am feeling very anxious about the road ahead of me. I am possibly facing dialysis and/or a transplant

New Research
This was sent to me by a friend may be of some interest. I saw this on the BBC and thought you should see it: Liver transplants 'may be unnecessary thanks to new drug treatment' - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-45188056

An HCV survivor who never had HepC
No never had HCV. I lost my wife Carla DEC 28 2008. Since 2009 a member of Hepatitis C Family and Friends Support Group. Admin for 4 year. This is my life now in honor of my Carla. So often we hear of post treatment health issues, often blamed on the new DAA treatments. I find it dismaying that so many

ONLY 10% of NON-DIALYSIS KIDNEY PATIENTS EVER SEE A DIETITIAN.
This article arrived in my mailbox yesterday but I wasn't able to get to it until today. I thought the information was interesting and decided to share it. It came in as part of a newsletter from the American Association of Kidney Patients www.aakp.org August 1, 2018, Loyola University Health System

The DOOMSDAY CLOCK is running backward
For cirrhosis patients, there has always been a doomsday clock. We all know that there are no treatments and only a transplant can save us. Transplant is on the mind of a lot of us but what do the statistics say? According to the CDC, from 1999 to 2016 over 460,000 people died from cirrhosis. Even today

VATS BIOPSY RESULTS FINALLY
Hi, I have posted a few times. I had a VATS lung biopsy and have a general diagnosis FINALLY. They first told me they were almost sure I had constrictive Bronchiolitis (thanks for those that have it who were so kind and helpful). The biopsy showed Cellular Interstitial Pneumonitis and most likely Hypersensitivity

Transplant games
I would just like to say I've been to the transplant games in Birmingham and had such an amazing time as a volunteer. If you've had a transplant or waiting I can't recommend it enough. Over 720 people took part after receiving a transplant. Just wanted to shout out about it as it doesn't get enough publicity
