Ten Reasons Why I Don't Rely On ADA's Guidelines On Diabetes Management Anymore.
Ten quick reasons: (1) I have my experience of 2 years being a disciplined patient as per ADA's definition but it failed me. I am not alone on this. Most diabetes forums in world exist because of this failure as experienced by others across the globe. Read my own experience here: https://healthunlocked.com

50 years of PSP research
The chapter on
Palliative
care
is worth a read. Sadly, the conclusion for management of PSP with all the medications over 50 years is not encouraging. It states " Drug treatments are of limited benefit for most symptoms".

Many, many health professionals have relationships with Pharma Industry -- Conflict Of Interest?
I have seen few out here swear by the so called "experts" -- a term used to cloak the realities. However, internet is such a great medium that it's exposing the "experts" far and wide. Take a look at following article: http://www.propublica.org/article/leaders-of-teaching-hospitals-have-close-ties-to-drug-companies-study-shows

LCHF Diet -- any success stories?
Hello everyone, I am hearing/seeing a lot about LCHF diet; its benefits for diabetes, it will result in reversal, etc.. Please reply if you are the one following LCHF and you controlled your BS with that. I just want to learn truely how many people have benefited from that and why doctors won't recommend

Just seen this in The Lancet
These recommendations included increasing the availability of 7 days a week specialist, out of hours, and outreach care, enabling spirometric data to be shared and universally accessed by primary and secondary

services, continuing the improvements seen in delivery of

They are withdrawing intervention and she will be treated by the
palliative
care
team at home. They've said around two weeks left. I'm ok with it all actually, just thought I'd let my friends on here know x

After watching a couple of commercials regarding cancer care centers (and I am not taking anything away from those awesome centers) I...
Home
care
,
palliative
care
and even end of life care is not cutting it. At least not for me. There has to be something more for our loved ones, for our families, for us. I always think about becoming a nurse.

A peculiar problem-Type2 Diabetes
I have a peculiar problem. 2 hours after my meal my readings are around 220. Thereafter about 3.5 hours after the meal (approx when sugar reading is 200) it rises and rapidly to a reading of approx 400 without my eating anything. From trial and error I have realized that if I quickly eat another meal
