The doctors can't do anything else for Mum. They are withdrawing intervention and she will be treated by the palliative care team at home. They've said around two weeks left. I'm ok with it all actually, just thought I'd let my friends on here know x
Had a bit of bad news today - Mental Health Sup...
Sorry for your news, are they giving 24/7 care as they will need to support her continuous.
Look after yourself
Oh dear Lucy I am so sorry about your mum. At least she will be supported at home which will take the strain off your dad and you. I am as always here for you my friend so if I can help at all please pm me. Am thinking of you. Lots of Lucy shaped hugs.
I don't think we have posted to each other before,I logged in and your was the first post I have read today.
If you don't mind me saying you sound very brave and I would imagine you are a pillar of strength to your mum and family.
I find it to be a difficult time at this stage when caring for a loved one but I also think it's a special time and believe me your mum will know you will always be with her.
Take care, hope you don't mind my post to you
Thoughts are with you
Oh my goodness. I was not expecting to log in and see so many lovely, kind replies. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Mum came home from hospital and seems to have perked up a bit in the company of her own surroundings. I am hoping that she has some more 'lucid' days before she passes. I guess it's I possible to tell what the next few weeks have in store for us all, but it's so lovely to know that I have the support of my friends here x
You have a lot of friends here Lucy xx
