Offered palliative care only
She was transfered to be treated at a local hospital which the oncologists board decided she will have
palliative
care
only. My dad said the oncologist didnt offered radioteraphy or chemioteraphy, he was so shocked didnt ask why. She is at home now with prescription of Keppra and dexomethasone.

Hello I’m Graham
After my family and/or myself were told on 4 occasions that I was going to die and I was on
palliative
care
only, we wouldn’t accept their prognosis. We never gave up! I’m now 7 months post transplant and feeling great.

In need of a hug
He is getting
palliative
care
for inoperable brain bleeds. The night is so dark (no moonlight) and the feelings of gloom and helplessness seems darker and heavier than the day before.

A catchup on my hospital outcome
To be referred to oncology for radiotheraphy , if this makes me ill will just be left with
palliative
care
treatment. So have to have physio in a fortnight then change over to oncology.

Dad diagnosed with GBM grade 4
We have spoken to Macmillan and
palliative
care
but they have not been very helpful in terms of support for him at home.
Palliative
care
said he could get a nurse in once a day. We can’t continue to stay with him forever though. I have 2 young children. Does anyone have any advice please?

Being Mortal Book by Atul Gawande
We are meeting with my Dad's oncologist on July 5 and his
palliative
care
doctor on July 8th and I plan to use a lot of what I read during this conversation. My father's pain has returned with a vengeance since June 10 and he has no balance.

Confused about hospice care
care
there is no more input from cardiology.Under pressure from me they did contact cardio who agreed her furosemide should be reduced. She has coped, more energetic and still no oedema.I am very concerned though that once you go into hospice all other specialists seem to wash their hands off you as had

Experience/Opinions on: Pembrolizumab + Lenvatinib for NEPC/SCPC
Also my MO seems to stand behind this estimate since he has registered me with BC
Palliative
Care
Program (6 mo's to live). At my urging, my MO reached out to US based Clinics in Seattle, Portland and San Francisco with the goal of seeking out clinical trials relevant to my condition.

Palliative care
My consultant has put me on
palliative
care
. He says no more lung function tests or CT scans, a triple function inhaler instead of three inhalers and full time oxygen instead of ambulatory. What else can I expect from
palliative
care
? What can I ask for?

My Cancer Journey Repost
(At the beginning I had a lot of meetings with
palliative
care
. Eventually I realized it was not so useful. At least at that time and so far.) G-d willing I am able to continue to enjoy this level of good health, especially for the benefit of and joy with my family.

Devastated. Mom has begun hospice.
She seemed to be doing much better a few weeks ago when I saw her and she was getting more meds to manage symptoms through
palliative
care
. However her fluid started building back up.

My
palliative
care
team has my hip pain under control. I should be grateful, but I’m angry because I feel like, after just 22 months, I’m nearing the end of my options. I pray for a much longer life. I believe so much in God and I know He will guide me.

Palliative care, does it still exist?
All this is going well but nothing from the
palliative
care
team. I was hoping someone would contact me as I could do with some advice. I don't know how to contact the team so can't chase them up. Any ideas ?

End of life information for heart disease sufferers
I have not been able to find anything about
palliative
care
except this - https://www.bhf.org.uk/informationsupport/heart-matters-magazine/wellbeing/end-of-life-care (The end of life needs of people with heart disease aren’t being met). which is not very comforting.

Moving on to hospice care
We have been managing as best we can on our own with the biweekly visits from the
palliative
care
team, but they have suggested that we will need more help as he is deteriorating fast, and anything could happen at any time.
