Hello!

I joined health unlocked as I'm looking for a healthier diet! I done a lot if reading and tried to get my head around a lchf diet but it seems wrong to eat so much fat. I've also read about real food and clean eating. What's peoples view on this and can anybody recommend any real food websites for recipes.

Thank you for your reply! I feel we are being brainwashed about food or the powers that decide about our food just have no idea what is healthy and what isn't! I wonder what affect all the rubbish our children eat will have on them in the years to come.

I think by going backwards and forwards between two woe, I have just left myself confused! There are some foods I love totally not allowed on one diet but they are on the other so I don't know what to do. I'm going to checkout the website you suggested so thank you πŸ‘

I wonder what sort of food is not allowed on the diet you are looking at? Is any reason given for this?

Well,I did read about the lchf diet and I liked the looks of it but I love fresh fruit and veg and its more about eating butter and cheese together which I just can't imagine doing lol! I'm definitely going down the clean eating route and I'm doing it gradually. No more diets, it's a way of life now after reading about what's in our food. The same companies own the big food manufacturers and the pharmaceutical producers so basically they feed us junk to get us hooked and make money, then when the junk makes us ill they make money on the drugs needed to make us better...... it's disgusting!

Yes, I agree with you, the junk in ready made foods is doing us a lot of harm. Going back to 'old fashioned' cooking /eating is the best idea.

LCHF is a good plan if you have any signs of metabolic syndrome, but not everybody needs to go that far.

Ah thank you but I'm trying to think long term and also I want to cut out anything artificial. I've tried all kinds of diets over the years but always put the weight back on. I have a sweet tooth so I've cut all sugar out of my diet, and that includes anything with sugar in it. I'm reading the labels on food now for the first time and if the ingredients have unpronounceable things in or more than 5 ingredients in then I've stopped buying it. I'm please it's working for you tho, sounds like you are doing really well so keep it up!!!!

hi 1eaholivia i know its hard trying to lose weight but i'm on this slim-fast long term it is the only diet i know that's help me i'm a type 2 diabetic so looking at labels on food i've been doing that for 42 years and trust me it won't get any easier. like you i've tried diets and your right the weight is back on before you know it but i'm finding the more i stick to what i'm doing the last thing on my mind is what i'm having for next meal, if you went on the slim-fast web page and had a look at that you might be surprised at what you will find out what how it does help you. if im lucky the meals i'm now have last longer then anything else ive tried. please give it ago and see how it works i didn't think it would work for me but i'm surprised it has and how much weight has dropped off. believe me if your saw a photo of my back then until now you would be amazed my wife can't believe how much ive lost and changed. i hope what does work please let me know and thank you for replying. speak with you soon

There is an alternative diet that works for many people with metabolic problems. Have a look at the video posted recently.
