The tricky subject of dying
She is a former
palliative
care
consultant and I think this book should be read by everyone. It really made me think and mentally prepare for dealing with death - of my elderly parent, my partner with MSA and my own death and dying process whenever whenever they may happen.

I'm new, just saying hello
With that in mind, I've now prompted an investigation via
Palliative
Care
to test and rule out a blockage such as a clot etc although it's suspected that there will be no clot and just part of the lymphoedema moving into the trunk of my body. What a catch 22!

Palliative care
She said she was thinking of moving my aunt to
palliative
care
but since she seems a little better she will wait. I feel that would be giving up. I don’t know. Anyone have someone go to
palliative
care
and still get better?

No lung mass!
At his 3rd hospitalization for acute cellulitis, we were referred to
palliative
care
and had THE worst experience. I went with my gut instinct and did not let them come and evaluate him.

It's never too late
Smoking was killing me, and on top of that I was paying a fortune to have a slow suicide, well thank God I was able to stop 12 years ago. Since then my life changed so much, I did put extra weight on but more about that later. Before I stopped smoking I was smoking 180 cigarettes a week, which I couldn't

Then it would have been
palliative
care
. (end of the road). I had a 3-hour operation. When I came to, the surgeon said he had managed to separate the cancer from the windpipe and artery, so the big operation could now go ahead. I then had my whole right lung removed 3 weeks later.

I don’t know how to help
All I could muster was to provide some “
palliative
”
care
, so to speak. I sat with her and talked about her fears and anxiety concerning the progression of the LBD, the word “severe”, and several other things that were floating around in her noggin.

Cabazitaxel,Cytoxan or Comfort Care after dismissal from Lu PSMA Vision Trial
We have a great medical team, including
palliative
care
support and are now confronted with another very difficult decision. Our limited options include, Jetvana(Cabazitaxel, Neosar,(Cytoxan), and/or Comfort Care and possibly a level 1 trial which our MO is not recommending.

Holiday Insurance blues!
My husband is now having
palliative
care
because there is nothing more they can do except manage symptoms. He is perfectly fine to have a holiday and could live for years as he is but this seems to fall on deaf ears! Have anyone else managed to obtain cover without paying thousands of pounds?

opioid induced hyperalgesia
Yesterday we had a
palliative
care
appointment and asked what our other options were. They said a fentanyl patch would be the next step, but didn't reccomend that. So they offered the option of medical marijuana.
