Diltiazem alternatives for my mother?
I believe she is too old to cope with a
pacemaker
/ablation although her cardiologist persists in offering it. I don't think she would come out of the anaesthetic very well - she is already suffering from some brain haemorrages. ANYHOW... that's not my question...

Need some advice please folks.
Family members are telling me to contact my gp or cardiology team to highlight it and get things moving but I've had all the test done, been diagnosed with the mentioned symptoms been fitted with an ilr which is being monitored and awaiting results to see if I need a
pacemaker
so I've not been forgotten

How can I manage persistent AF
I am in UK and have had paroxysmal AF for a few years and was prescribed Flecainide and Bisoprolol but also had a
Pacemaker
fitted in July 2020 because of a low resting heart rate (normally 50 but loop recorder showed some drop to mid 30s overnight).

Waiting to see if a
pacemaker
will help and new meds. I've suffered with IBS for over 10 years, recently had endoscopic tests because of weight loss..... all clear. I'm posting to ask if any of you with AF and IBS have been offered amatripoline.

pace and ablate and the rationale of doing it
I hate even more so final another troubling factor is my Dad died at 68 of a heart attack New Year’s Day I’m 68 in January My
pacemaker
is due to be implanted 21st December I think it’s best to delay this procedure Until I’m in the right head space

The monster has struck!
All my monitors were removed in the morning including the temporary
pacemaker
and ECG. I went for a couple of walks on the ward which went quite well. I checked my pulse rate manually afterwards and all was steady at about 70bpm.

Pernicious Anemia and Endicrine
This past summer it was discovered that I needed a
pacemaker
and one was implanted. I feel I have benefited from those treatments, but I still generally feel crappy. Recently I went into Google Scholar, a research-database search engine, and entered the search terms "B12 endocrine".

I'm a hand-cycling Paraplegic, about to have a
Pacemaker
fitted followed by an AV Node Ablation and interested to hear from any other paraplegic about how they handled the minimum movement of left arm / left pectoral during the 4 to 6 week settling in period for the leads, prior to the ablation

short p wave
just had call from
pacemaker
clinic. Had my eight week check last night. All good to go for Ablate but was looking at shorter p wave this week than last week. What does that mean?

Anyone have an experience with Pacemaker Syndrome
Has anyone had to have your
pacemaker
adjusted. If so, what was your experience and how is this done?

A Huge Thanks!
I’m on a “temporary
pacemaker
”-it showed “underlying sinus rhythm “ when they looked at it this morning (what the heart would be doing if the
pacemaker
were not supporting it). It will take 24hrs for the anaesthetic to wear off.

How frequent
According to my latest
pacemaker
check I am now in AF for 20% of the time and the effect is taking more of a toll on me both mentally and physically . I was offered an ablation several years ago but turned it down for several reasons . Is now the time to reconsider my choice

Low heart rate again .
Due to have a telephone appointment with the cardiologist in 2 weeks to download my loop recorder results as its been 3 months since it was fitted also talk of a
pacemaker
being an option. So has anyone had episodes come and go of being brady or tachy and their treatment.

Atrial Fibrillation.
The latter would not help the tiredness/fatigue if this is caused by the af but would help with palpitations - although the af would not be targeted, the pulse would not respond to the af by racing, because the pulse would be controlled by the
pacemaker
.

Pace and Ablate update
It has now been seven months since I had my AV node ablation following having a
pacemaker
fitted in March and I thought I would just let you know how things are now. Hopefully this will also help those of you who may have to have the Pace and Ablate procedure next year.

Fear and despair AV-Node may not help with my problem
I've always had hope that a
pacemaker
plus AV-node ablation might be a last resort when all medications stop working and even "normal" ablation fails. But now I read that exactly this feeling will not stop after pace&ablate. Why not?

Feeling heart beating/pacemaker?
Is it my
pacemaker
kicking in that I can feel and has anyone had experience of this. It’s very disconcerting and I can’t forget that I have a heart condition because of it..if you know what I mean.
