Question for anyone who has had Open heart surgery
I have had a
pacemaker
inserted 2 years ago. I had a cardioversion yesterday and I feel like I’ve gone back to week one with the pain on my right boob. I want to know from anyone who’s had this surgery if their breasts were soooo sore. I do have big boobs so not sure if this is why.

we’ll it didn’t happen yesterday, should be today, 🤞cos they won’t let me home until it does, in view of what happened!

a quick hello
Oh, FYI Those of you who know me know about the miracle of my
pacemaker
that did not exist until recently, which would have meant all I had to look forward to was heart failure even more than now. The only other stuff is transplant something they probably wouldn’t care of me at my age.

I have a
pacemaker
. When I read other posts in this forum, most people seem to have a much faster heart rate than I do - over 100. My normal sinus rhythm is about 52 resting. I feel breathless and fatigued but carry on with my normal activities.

AV node ablation
My
pacemaker
has to be tweaked over the next six weeks and I will have to build up my strength and stamina but I feel much more positive now that I will be able to do that. If anyone is in doubt about having this procedure as I was I would say go ahead! I feel as though I have a future now.

Severe mitral regurgitation
I’m a 73 year old female and was diagnosed with severe mitral regurgitation and heart failure a year ago, had a
pacemaker
inserted whilst in hospital. A few months ago I saw a consultant who decided I needed valve repair or replacement with open heart surgery.

Update on uncle
It’s all still a learning curve with his
pacemaker
and the discovery of the hernia. He’s getting breathless and upset due to these symptoms. He’s had his post op check and no concerns, ecg regularly. The doctors are happy.

Reply to kind comments from other members re my post on breathlessness etc
So possibly after a
pacemaker
and another ablation I may be a new woman.

Sinus Bradycardia and first degree AV heartbkock
I have Sinus Bradycardia and during a recent
Pacemaker
checkup I was told I have an increasing AV heart block which my
Pacemaker
is dealing with. Any comments from anyone with a similar experience would be helpful.

MRI scan with compatible pacemaker, CRT-D or ICD
I have a CRT-D device implanted which is MRI compatible. It looks like I might now need an MRI scan of my head - most likely under private health care. Does anyone know what extra arrangements, if any, are needed to have an MRI scan with an implanted heart device (one that is compatible with MRI scanners

I have a
pacemaker
and the veins/arteries around it are very visible, plus also in my shoulder area. The earliest appointment I have is 3 January 2023, however, I now have little niggles of almost like an indigestion pain below the

No more multiple PVCs after daily sauna
I now have a
pacemaker
defibrilator. Thanks to my diet, rich in potassium and magnesium, I have been afib free most of the time. Though at times I still had multiple PVC's, bigeminy usually at lunch time. Since I started my daily sauna more than 1 month ago, the frequent PVC's are gone!

Mr. Spouse 21 is on rewind: Stable again!
He got his fourth
pacemaker
in January this year (planned not emergency), so the port had to come out. It's not all a walk in the park since Lupron + Xgeva are both fatiguing and draining.
