Pacemaker fitted just over 3 months ago

Hi everyone. I am just wondering if it is normal to still have tenderness under my arm and across the pacemaker area after 3 months? I started doing exercise and swimming after the 8 weeks and everything seemed fine, but just lately I feel as though I have gone backwards ...... I can feel the device when I yawn, or stretch? And the sensation makes me feel slightly nauseous. Perhaps I need to give things more time?

I had mine fitted just over 2 years ago , the tenderness will eventually ease off but your always going to be able to feel it to a certain degree at different times. If I sleep on my left side ( pm side ) for to long it can be uncomfortable for a while after. Most days I completely forget that the p/ m is even there. It’s still very early days for you , so unless it’s actual pain and not just a bit of soreness I’d say it’s where everything is still healing.

Can I add to that though that if it is particularly painful or you’re worried, get it checked just for peace of mind xx

Had mine fitted in September and still feel the odd niggle. Was told by clinic it can take up to a year to finally settle

Had mine for over 3 years now, and most of the time I don't notice it, but every now and then I get a twinge if I put too much pressure on it. I can identify with the pain under the arm at first - I worried about it, but it went away after about six months.
