I didn't realise I had an issue but from before the lockdown I was not sleeping. I was jumping in my sleep and woke up and unable to gey back to sleep. I am very fit at 64 bug found I was getting tired. I had a brain blood clot about 10 years ago and fully recovered but needed a MRI to check all was still OK. However during the MRI I must of dozed off and next thing I was pulled out of the MRI as my pulse dropped down to about 20 beats per minute and and I lost consciousness. So I was referred to Cardiology and did so e tests and had a recorder for 48 hours. Within I had a pacemaker installed. I now feel do much better. I was told that my condition was missed due to my fitness and that a slow heartbeat was not considered a risk. Apparently the sinus node was failing. So my message is don't wait if you are concerned.Heart electrical problems are not always at the top of the list of the cardiologist if you present as bring fit and healthy.
