Just Diagnosed With Atrial Fibrillation
I also know that I could have an ablation if it doesn't work and failing that, have a
pacemaker
fitted. Obviously I'm hoping the cardioversion works and that it works for a long time but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Do you have persistent or long-standing AF?
You may also be taking medications, have previously experienced an intervention such as a catheter ablation, cardioversion or a
pacemaker
.

CRT-D pacemaker post op
Hi had a CRT-D
pacemaker
put in last Friday. Just looking other people’s experience of recovery and initial feelings of it. Finding it all a bit daunting, feeling very bruised both physically and mentally. Thanks.

Living With A-Fib Questions
Obviously I know you have to avoid triggers, which I think for me is anxiety, but if you've had a successful cardioversion, ablation or had a
pacemaker
fitted, when you are not in A-Fib, do you generally feel 'normal', can you do the same things you did in the past?

I hadn’t mentioned much about being a little bit nervous regarding my new
pacemaker
. The past two days my heart rate has been up. I am set for 80. I have noticed, and I know that my
pacemaker
could allow a higher if I am busy doing something.

Flecainide stopped working
to cause other arrhythmias so I have to stop it This happened a few years ago & as soon as it was stopped my AF occurred regularly & made me feel very unwell I was able then to restart it but this time it’s not possible I am having AF at least every other day so it’s been suggested that I have a

Amazing
My
pacemaker
was done on the 27th and I have had some good days and not so good. Yesterday I woke up really early and had energy all day. I walked with my dog around our property of almost an acre.

I move on to a visit to A & E Sept where I eventually see a consultant at midnight who luckily turns out to be a cardiologist and says," we will give you a
pacemaker
tomorrow!"

TENS machines & AF
I’ve lone PAF (no
pacemaker
). AFib isn’t contraindicated, but sending electrical signals through my body feels counter-intuitive. Thx.

My mom is on a ventilator again.
They put a temporary
pacemaker
maker in. She just had 3 stents put in her widow maker about 2 weeks prior. They also put her on a ventilator. The
pacemaker
was taken out after 3 days. I asked the icu nurse why, she told me cause mom was saying she was sick to her stomach.

She finally ordered an ultasound which showed unknown fluid collected at site which obstructed view of

Requesting information/help for my girlfriend
She has had her
pacemaker
coming up to 4 months now, but is still having horrible shooting pains, that without the help of OxyContin, she will pass out from. I’m not sure if this is the correct place to ask but we’re both worried and scared that this will continue forever.
