I have been suffering with Atrial Fibrillation for several years but attempt to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I am also considering having a pacemaker fitted so I can improve my quality of life and exercise without a relatively acute shortness of breath at high periods of exertion. Has anyone else experienced this, how have you coped and has anyone opted to have a pacemaker?

I haven't been diagnosed with A-Fib, but I've always had irregular heart beats. Sometimes very irregular. Started on magnesium citrate, CoQ10, thiamine (vitamin B1), and L-carnitine, daily. All the symptoms were resolved. I know these have worked well for others with A-Fib, so you may want to give them a try. The magnesium and B1 resolved the irregular heat beats, but the CoQ10 and L-carnitine improved on the results, seemed to strengthen the heart, as they increase the production of ATP, which the heart requires for proper function.
