Knowledge Isn't Enough
Now, I couldn't take any stimulants anyway because the chemo attacked my heart, and I have heart failure with a
pacemaker
/defibrillator. That should give you enough background, but feel free to ask. Well, of course I still have ADHD!

I am also considering having a
pacemaker
fitted so I can improve my quality of life and exercise without a relatively acute shortness of breath at high periods of exertion. Has anyone else experienced this, how have you coped and has anyone opted to have a
pacemaker
?

I really do wish I had more knowledge about AV ablation and
pacemaker
insertion before I accepted the procedure. Maybe breathing exercises, an inhaler and anxiety meds may be the answer but I have doubts but more than willing to try.

Annual pace maker check
Pleased to report, all's good in the world of my
pacemaker
, got about 4years battery life left in it. Anyone else feel a bit freaked out when they slow down and then speed up your heart? It gets me every time, even though I know it's coming 😳

Today I’m still having all the symptoms , having a stitch type pain near to my
pacemaker
that varies in pain score from 4 to 9/10 (I’ve had pm since 2030 so it’s not as if my pm is settling in ) Managed to get a gp phone appt, she wasn’t overly concerned , I’m waiting to have an exercise stress test

What are the indicators for getting a
pacemaker
. I have had just a few pauses..one six seconds but few others. Had several ablations that only worked for a while. On meds.bloodthinner. beta blocker. Why did others get a
pacemaker
?

Ablation and pacemaker
Had my ablation and
pacemaker
insertion done in July 2022.Never been back to normal health since, fed up with trying to find answers why I'm still suffering. Had terrible symptoms mentally and physically.

Pacemaker and a saxophone
Any reason why having a
pacemaker
fitted might affect my ability to play? I guess it won’t help with my duff notes mind.

Enlarged heart
I now have a bi-ventricular
pacemaker
(I am 45 years old). My mum passed away from aortic dissection a short while ago and as a result I have been referred for genetic tests. It appears I now also have mild dilation of the thoracic aorta.

Do you have persistent or long-standing AF?
You may also be taking medications, have previously experienced an intervention such as a catheter ablation, cardioversion or a
pacemaker
.

Painful legs (burning sensation behind both knees)
As some of you know I have heart disease (
pacemaker
, valve replacement, double bypass and endocarditis), could this be related and, if so, will it wait until the my planned review? Thanks a lot
