Swelling in the feet and ankles
I was diagnosed with A-fib 2 years ago. Only gone into A-fib twice, that I know of. Lately, I've noticed swelling in my feet and ankles. Is this common? I'm on Flecainide 100mg twice a day and cardizem CD 180mg once a day. I have a doctor's appointment and will certainly bring this up. Just wanted to

Finally some relief from one sided tinnitus
I've had tinnitus for approximately one year in my left ear. It started out with a soft crackling noise (like the old static sound from television in between channels!) Over the past 6 months, the noise increased in frequency and volume to the point that it kept me from falling asleep. I went to the

Hi All Just over a week ago I was asking about weight loss while running. Among many supportive and informative answers Damienair and Pianism gave me alot of inspiration and food for thought (pun intended). 1) Firstly (I already knew) I had to go back to myfitnesspal and start logging. - this was clearly

Finally getting into seeing my neurologist
My PCP kept refusing to give me a referral to the neurologist I seen in 2015. This neuro felt there was a good chance I had MS then but he needed a second set of MRI's to show changes in the lesions. Why my PCP refused to give me a referral I do not know but luckily my old PCP was understanding and

I want to tell you a story! More for the women, sorry guys!
This is for the newbies as we tell ourselves that once we were all normal and for me, I feel like one of the old groups now, but maybe more for me as a staid member of this site. What do we really go through and what really happens in between? Well for me everything went wrong after a hysterectomy

Strange
I was ok for quite a while this afternoon after chatting away to a friend on the phone and decided to pop to the shop for something, when I came back I felt a little anxiety in my chest and just a little woozy. I only walked round the corner, but I had been up earlier today than normal and have done

Unilateral deafness and constant tinnitus in 1 ear will a hearing aid help?
I have lost a fair bit of hearing in my right ear - my hubby says I have been struggling for a couple of years as I was always turning the TV up! However this became much worse around Christmas last year - when I was going out and really not understanding a word people were saying - I could tell they

Cost of private prescriptions
Hi all. My cardiologist has prescribed me 5mg of Nebivolol as Bisoprolol makes me wheezy. My GP won’t prescribe as it is to expensive. The pharmacist has charged me £100 for three months supply. After looking online one of the big chain chemists is quoting £9.90 for three months supply. Is it normal

Hip stretches - yoga "Pigeon pose"
After my (first) 5K today, and as my run duration increased to 30+ mins over the recent weeks, I found I was getting 'hip ache'. So if you do the following exercise (on both sides). You will hopefully notice some relief. Bend your front knee round and stick your back leg down straight behind you, sit

Tinnitus
I’ve never had tinnitus before. I had a brain tumour removed Jan 16 and have had lots of MRI scans. High pitched ringing started mainly in left ear in January this year. Driving me nuts!! I’ve been to GP who referred me to ENT. Had hearing test (bit low) so now waiting for hearing aids and appointment

Coping with a sudden loss
Recently my Dad suddenly died from a brain hemorrhage. We were on holiday and he just collapsed. We later discovered he had MoyaMoya disease. For a period of time it looked like he was going to get better but then he had a second bleed and was in a coma. It was all very traumatic and I'm struggling to
