No running for 3 weeks :(

So, I’m feeling a little bit deflated as I got to week 9 and completed run 1 whilst completing race for life (3 weeks ago) & ended up with a badly sprained foot! So, I’ve not done any running since. Any ideas of what week I should go back to, hopefully this week, as the pain seems to have eased? Gutted as I only had 2 runs left to complete! Although, I guess I’ve missed the heatwave. TIA :)

Try a little run once the pain has gone. No point going back to it too soon and doing damage. Listen to your body and see what it says. I had a month off after getting to 10km and was able to go back out and do a slow 5km. The running will be there waiting for you once you’re better.

Well done on doing race for life. Hope you’re better soon.

Thank you, I will do. Slow is easy for me 😃x

Let the plan go... running too early, may set you back...When you do head out..just take it very, very gently... your body will tell you what is what!

Heal properly and the run will still be there:)

Oh poor you, how frustrating! As you say, at least you missed the heatwave, that was an absolute bugger to run in ☀️😓. Good luck with getting back to it, hydrate, take it slow and easy...ah hell, you know the drill 👍😊

Thank you, I will do! Yeah, I'm quite relieved to have missed running in the heat 🤣. Although, today looked a great day to run in the rain 😁! Thanks for the advice 😃👍🏻
