watermelon & low blood pressure

Just in case no one else knows, watermelon lowers your blood pressure. In my case my blood pressure got to 103 and I felt bad. Very dizzy. I was eating a lot of it for a week as it was so hot out and cold, sweet watermelon was so refreshing. Ack!! Beware the delicious watermelon (or don't be a pig and eat a whole one by yourself).

May all your blood draws be painless.

Thanks for that h2ogirl! My blood pressure is generally low so will steer clear of delicious chilled watermelon from now on! Hope you find something just as enjoyable to keep you cool!

My dad was a watermelon farmer in Greece. I grew up eating a 1/4 of a huge melon on my own. I’ve always had 100/60. But, we Greeks eat feta cheese with it! Therefore, we get extra salt. Yummy. Try it! We also eat grapes with feta. These are really a meal.
