I wanted to know Does anyone ever feel the need to Catch a deep breath almost everyday all day? I catch myself doing it a lot... I do have a lot of Health anxiety and I always feel like I’m sick or dying. So I’m always stressed about SOMETHING idk I’m taking Alprazolam 1mg but Half. And usually helps or usually makes me feel almost too drowsy that I get panicky so I try not to take it! But other then that the deep breaths is bugging me. Does anyone else do

Mindfulnessxo, it is a very common symptom of anxiety. What can help is watching

your posture so your not hunched over in a ball. When feeling fear, we sometimes

start holding our breath. Anxiousness makes the diaphragm and upper stomach

muscles as well as upper back muscles tight as a violin string. Although this is not

dangerous, it causes our body to respond with a sudden gasp for breath. This is not

coming from the lungs. It is just our body's way in reminding us, time to relax and

let go. :) xx

Sounds right. I have be Hunched over due to Back pain I went to the doctor and they gave me a steroid shot for the pain and some pills and I’m still hunching over Gasping for air aswell constantly. Maybe I need to just relax and let go....

Yes I get this. It’s gotten better I usually get it at night now. It’s like a deep sigh.

All anxiety related.
