Hello again. I posted recently about chronic ear pain. I failed to mention my throat has been bad too..and difficulty swallowing.l have seen the doctor 4 times, each time being told to wait. I do have Gerd so thought it might be that. I also saw my dentist thinking it may be tmj dis function.

Oh all sorts going through my mind.....So back to doctor today. He has referred me for an urgent ENT appointment. Thinking it might be something sinister. 2 weeks wait..l am now a tad worried so don't even want to wait 2 weeks! So have booked a private appointment for next Thursday. Even that seems an age away as it's such an unpleasant sensation. It has made me very anxious but l know that will only exacerbate things.

Whatever next??? So tired of it all.

Could you not suggest to your GP to refer you to Ambulatory care which would be a lot quicker than waiting for ETN appointment

Not sure that sort of thing even exists where l live. And if l would fit the criteria. Will check it out. Thank you.

Your doing the right thing ....I have also 😷..it's scary ..I think mines relative to neck back nerves stiffness....my felt stiff and when I swallowed it was like mechanism was rusted ...!!!sound familiar? I was choking on meds mostly and one day on the bathroom floor gagging retching cos its stuck in throat somewhere realized that I was getting air. .helped me calm down anyway .. I was told to lean forward when swallowing. ..as people tend to lean head back this really helps and it took time and a lot of usual boring management tactics and meds. Hold on in there x

I hope it's nothing to worry about. It's just the fact that it's my ears and my throat that's concerning me.

I'm not an expert ..just my experience and never really got to bottom of it but do have neurology ref...

I do already have a neurologist appointment on Tuesday. ( Been waiting 6 wks for and it's private...) Going to him about migraines but will ask him about my ears/ jaw/throat too. And any other body part l can fit in! 🤪

Lol ..Migraines too✔✔✔...ears like under water ...my neuro app to is on 14th ..GP...says go with open mind and positivity. .. I think he has a sense of humour x

Not sure but I think its available in most areas . I know you have to be referred by your GP and blood tests , xrays, scans can all be done on same day with you getting results there and course of treatment to follow. I was referred only last week by my GP and i found it good

hi HB, my ears act up all the time, they [one or the other or both at the same time] seem to fill up with fluid overnight while I sleep, and it's not from head sweats. It will take days for them to get clear then I sometimes repeat the process. It seems worse in cold weather and during allergy season.
