I Need help with this medication please 🙏🏽

Hi everyone ,hope you are all well!? I just wandering if any of you have any good or bad experience with this medication (flupentixol 500 microgramas) for those who read all my post knows that I suffer from depression and horrible anxiety.. I tried 15 medication for the past 5 years with not any help ..At the moment I’m taking clonazepam .5mcg once a day but that doesn’t help much ..my psychiatrist suggested flupentixol to take in the morning .but is not much information or reviews about this medication on google..if anyone in here is familiar with it please let me know ..many thanks… wish you all a very peaceful day ..bela x

I have no experience with that med but with your history I suggest you take a psychopharmacological genetic test to see what meds are best suited for you genetically. Mine was from Genesight but there are other brands. I had tried numerous antidepressants including cymbalta, prozac, zoloft, buspar and others for anxiety. My test showed that none of the meds I had tried before, except klonopin for the anxiety, were good for me. I started on one that was recommended (pristiq) and it's worked well. My test was through my psych-med practitioner and paid for by my insurance. It really helped take the guess work out of the process.

Hello designguy Thank you for taking time to reply to me ..I’m in Uk I don’t think they offer you any test in this country..😡but I will ask I guess I have to pay for it myself if I want to take the test ..this medication is ok not side effects but I still feel very anxious..clonazepam don’t help me at all 😔I’m tired of all this trials and errors 🥲hope and praying that soon I will find the perfect medication for me 🤞🙏🏽What medication are you taking now ? Hope you are doing well? ..anxiety is horrible 😔is destroying my life … wish you all the best .. bela

You're welcome Bela, i'm currently taking Pristiq and it's working well. I also made sure to get my hormones balanced which included getting my testosterone checked, I was low and started on shots and my thyroid medication checked, it turned out that I was on the wrong thyroid med. They and our adrenal system can contribute to anxiety if they aren't functioning properly.

If you aren't doing therapy or reading about anxiety I recommend the DARE anxiety book and program by Barry McDonagh, it's the best I found that has a practical, realistic and understandable approach to learning how to deal with, accept and recover from anxiety/panic. My personal experience is that the meds help but aren't the complete solution, it also takes changing how we think and relate to anxiety to heal.

Hello designguy .Once again thank you for the very useful suggestions..I have loads of books on anxiety..but I fell to anxious to read it .lol ..will get this one one also ..hopefully it will help me deal with it .all this meds I tried done nothing and it make me feel even worse is horrible..don’t think my brain likes medicine..😔 ..today is not a good day at all anxiety is kicking me hard ..and this new med is horrible is making me feel very dizzy and fragile..I would love to chat with you if that is ok with you !? because I fell that you have many experience how to deal with this ugly illness!?
