Waiting for appointment - sudden hearing loss
My adult son suddenly lost the hearing in one ear, rapidly followed by vertigo and now tinnitus, which he describes as ringing in his head and now also a dripping noise. Has been to Nurse and GP and finally a referral to ENT.......but the waiting list is months. Any advice would be really appreciated

Betahistine
I have been prescribed Betahistine for dizziness associated with long covid. I am currently taking 600mg Gabapentin for my RLS which is managing it reasonably well. Has anyone any experience with taking Betahistamine of the effect on RLS?

Sebum?
So PD causes seborrhea. And seborrhea causes pimples. I get pimples under the hair line. Coal Tar shampoo is the standard treatment for seborrhea. Using shampoo whole-body gets a bit pricey. Using a kitchen scrubber sponge as well might help. But because coal tar is very drying, it stimulates

Hi, I was diagnosed with a 2cm AN in July of this year in Dorset County Hospital with promise of a referral to Southampton General. After 6 weeks without the expected letter arriving I contacted Southampton to be told that they had no record of referral so I had to go back to DCH to chase them š. This

A cure?
After watching the Beato tinnitus YT this came up in my suggestions. "How I cured my Tinnitus" https://youtu.be/y4zuVk5STuM?si=GbABrl7qIz7YEpNH He's an ENT doctor and comes over as very genuine and says his method might not work for everyone. It seems to me it was like a constant distraction

Propafenone and taste
Anyone have any firsthand experience with Propafenone and taste? Everything tastes disgusting this morning and I hope its a side effect that fades.š¬. Still not convinced it is going to even stop the Atrial Tachycardia as I am still having it, but now this.... Ugh.

Is it the Medication or am I Losing it?
Do you do daft things? This morning I picked up my toothbrush and instead of putting toothpaste on it picked up a tube of face wash cream and spread that on my toothbrush, as soon as the brush went in my mouth I knew what I'd done. Last week I took a carton of orange juice out of the fridge and poured

PMR flare or something else?
I posted a couple weeks ago about pain and stiffness in my hips, shoulders, and hands/wrists, starting when I reduced to 3 mg from 3.5 mgprednisone using DSNS (diagnosed in 2018 PMR/GCA) and also had a great deal of stess and activity. The rheumatologist thought it was carpal tunnel and trochanter hip

How do I tune this out?
Hi. Itās nearly a year since this thing started. I have bilateral tinnitus and hear 3 or 4 different sounds. Although Iām well past the seriously deranged early days, I canāt seem to get to the bit where you tune it out. Iāve done a mindfulness course and use meditation to relax when needed, been fitted

Feeling thoroughly miserable - full time musician, first time tinnitus
Hi folks, hoping to get some more positive ways to deal with this. I've built everything around playing music in my life. It's my entire income, and I feel I need all the money I can get from it. I don't really know any other way I can make the same money. I now have my teenage daughter living with

Chronic endometritis
Hey lovely ladies! My question today related to endometritis/chronic uterine inflammation. I have done 4 hysteroscopies so far (two in 2021, one in 2022, one in 2023), each time the inflamed endometrium came out, with a "strawberry" appearance. After the tests, I came out positive for Ureaplasma (at
