Betahistine

I have been prescribed Betahistine for dizziness associated with long covid. I am currently taking 600mg Gabapentin for my RLS which is managing it reasonably well.

Has anyone any experience with taking Betahistamine of the effect on RLS?

From what I can tell it is OK for RLS although one person said it made their RLS worse.

Someone was prescribed it 5 months ago and reported that it triggered worsening RLS.

I haven't been able to find a safe option for dizziness, but Zofran or Kwells are good for sea sickness/ nausea and may help the dizziness.

Many thanks Sue and Jools. I feel reassured to try it, but will bear the other meds in mind as an alternative if needed.

Thank you both for all the time and care you put into helping people on here and being such a fantastic support for so many people 👏👏👏

Dramamine (meclizine) works well for nausea and dizziness. Doc prescribed it for me when I got Vertigo, but when I did my research I found it to be the ingredient in Dramamine, which is sold over the counter. Saves a Doc visit AND a copay. It had no effect, good or bad, on my RLS
