so i just got a phonecall outta the blue from a ENTi have never spoken to

i had a MRI on my ears 2 days ago...he phones me to tell me i have a tumour growing around the nerve of the right side of my ear (the right side tinnitus of my ear is insane...its pressure, its head noises) i always knew it wasnt " normal tinnitus" i now have to look at radiation and surgery

its alot to take it but all the doctors i have seen that basically told me " you dont need a mri you need to clam down"

yeah i will calm down with a tumour in my ear

The most common tumour linked with tinnitus which is predominantly single sided is an acoustic neuroma. This is considered benign and is usually managed conservatively by specialists, unless it is felt to be growing at an unusual rate. The worst outcome experienced by people who have fast-growing neuromas is often single-sided hearing loss.

I would certainly want to discuss this with either the ENT or a specialist they refer to you - the British Acoustic Neuroma Association in Chesterfield would also be a great option to talk to: bana-uk.com/

yeah the ENT i talked to today said i need another MRI with contrast and because this ear always feels pull and pressure...i get head noises too, and its wrapping and pushing around nerves or something, ive got major hearing loss too in that eat that the MRI picked up on...i need to travel outta my county to see a specialist my local ENT is sending me too...he said regardless of monitoring it...it needs to be operated on and around the nerves ...he said they would try radiation first but i need more MRI scans with dye contrast before that ...this might be a answer to why my right side of the ear cant deal with low levels of air pressure...my audiologist and ENT consultant seems to think so and apparently it shows it's all inflamed ...so its aggravating everything ssurrounding it which will also be tiny nerves too
