Erythema Multiforme, skin sloughing off of inside cheeks and vagina
After being in remission for five years, I was absolutely flabbergasted to find myself in a flare a few months ago. In the past (1999 - 2008) I was never given a confirmed diagnosis of Behcet's because the majority of my skin lesions were erythema mutiforme ( mostly associated with herpes). I did

Vitamin K1 and K2—Two Underappreciated Nutrients That Are Crucial for Health

Red or blushing skin...full body
Had a fright last night...my whole body and face was bright red, like I had been mildy sun-burned all over. Felt a bit like that too. I have been looking at allodynia re my parathesias - also wondered if It might be a sign of over- medicated or antibody flare up. The best way to describe is niacin

Hi There, I was wondering if anyone out there has this condition, I have just been diagnosed with this and am extremely distressed by it, I have large pus filled lumps on my nose, itching and burning, I hope it's not another auto immune, I have PBC and thyroid problems, now I have another illness that

Help please ROSACEA getting me down!
Hey Everyone... I'm new to this site and current looking for advice and help on the skin condition ROSACEA. I'm looking for any advise from anyone that suffers like I do. I've had it for over three years, my GP just tends to swap and change my antibiotics every-time I visit with no real improvement

Effect of headwind on running time
I am trying to get back into this running lark. Last weekend I set off early in zero degrees with no wind and with no particular ambition and was very pleased and even more surprised to do an accidental PB of 29:12 for 6k. Flushed with success I set out today once it had stopped raining to see if I

Thank you
Guys and dolls thx for all the good advice and encouragement you gave me since I've been diagnosed. I think the good Lord sent me to this site when my head was in a mess. Its now time to go down to our holiday place in Knysna where there will be sun, sea and long walks on the beach and I will be off

New 5k PB. Yay! :)
During one of my interval runs, I had managed to get my 5k time down to 27:09. That included fast running, but also some recovery run. So I suspected that I could probably improve on it, if I were to do a sustainable fast pace for the entire 5k. With Mondays being my tempo run days, today was the day

Help! Hills!
Against all odds (extreme laziness and a Netflix subscription) I've nearly managed to complete the first five weeks, and only have Week 5 run 3 left. Problem is, I've been running on Hampstead Heath so far, which is gorgeous but very, VERY hilly. Managed the 8 minute runs today (including slogging up

Provera Oral
I have been taking 30mg oral Provera a day alongside Cerazette for the past 4 months, the consultant told me to stop the Provera now and carry on with Cerazette until my first laparoscopy (hopefully in about 2 months time). I am worried that the whole point of the provera is to shrink the endometriosis

IBS-C & Anxiety. I am taking klonopin but think it is making my IBS worse. Anyone out there taking a benzo & noticing the same reaction?
I been taking klonopin for anxiety due to my gut about 5 years ago (I had different gut symptoms than I do now) I think the klonopin can slow up the digestion process so logically I am thinking it is causing me more problems with my IBS-C...........Does anyone relate to this and if so do you have any

Antinuclear Factor Question
Please could anyone tell me what an antinuclear factor of 2.3 equates to? It says on the form that it is "High" but there is no mention of a ratio or pattern. I alo have anti dsDNA of 8 (range is 0-20). All other antibodies tested were negative. Is this likely to be Lupus? (I do have symptoms and currently

Lupus rash and sling pigmentation
I have a rash on my face and it is now getting worse. The patches are getting darker and darker. I have been to the dermatologist who gave me azelaic acid and betamentasone cream to use since 2011. It faded away for some time but keeps coming back. I do moisturise and tone with Olay products. I have

COMFY 5K & THE COMMONWEALTH GAMES!
This morning I went out and did a nice and slow 5K. I wanted to complete it slow enough so that I wasn't out of breath or tired by the end, as I want to try a 12K on Saturday morning - just for my own amusement. I did it in 31'24 which is 5 minutes slower than my PB, so I believe it was a good pace for

How long to heal from tsw? Are there any natural remedies to use on my face that can help eliminate the itchy dry and redness?
I have been using hydrocortisone 1% cream for 3 months straight and have stopped a few days ago causing face to be red sensitive and itchy, dry. I was wondering if moisturizing slows down the heal process? Cause some people say so. Can I put oil on my face to help my face heal faster or should I put

Can anyone recommend good brands, doses and forms (that is, tablets, or capsules, or drops) of Milk Thistle? Also is it best to ...
take it constantly or to have breaks? I was taking it for years, as a precaution, after I'd first been scared about my PBC (mis?)-diagnosis, then I stopped a few months ago when a friend said you are not supposed to take it for too long. She's since admitted that she just said that because her homeopath
