4.67k in 27 minutes (I'm 1 minute missing)
W8 is done!! I never thought I'd say that but roll on W9. I ran to my own music today & timed myself. I include my warm up walk in my time but not my cool down, I don't why it just works for me, so I covered a distance of 4.67k - so tantalizingly close to this 5k! I ran to my own music which seemed to

Painful hands - any suggestions?
Has anybody got any suggestions what I can do to alleviate the pain I have in my fingers? I'm so lucky to never have suffered with my hands, but the past few weeks my right index finger in particular feels like it's on fire and I can't make a fist. Even holding the steering wheel is painful. Poor

How do we get doctors to believe that moving blood clots can be felt?
It's infuriating! We are fed up with doctors telling us "You can't feel a blood clot moving." My husband has APS & went in for a testosterone shot yesterday. Our nurse, who believes he can feel clots, had a student nurse with her & our nurse had my husband tell what happened last year when he felt a

Sprained ankle
I tripped over uneven ground during a light jog last Saturday and managed to sprain my ankle. It is rather swollen and rainbow-coloured, but not painful. How long should I wait before trying a light jog? PS: I am beginning to think I'm not made for this fitness lark... :(

Rosacea?
Ergh! I have an interview on Tuesday for a promotion I have wanted forever and my face has turned into a sight not too dissimilar from the Alps! A nasty series of bumps under the skin but red. I was diagnosed because of this as they thought it (any my other symptoms) were signs of lupus and ran a million

Two women in my life ; )
I have to confess that this morning, for the first time in 7 weeks, I wasn't looking forward to my run. My W6R2 was hard, strange when it was less running than eprevious runs, but there's the great mystery of running. Anyway, I was worried that if I struggled with 2x10 min runs, with a recovery walk

Forgot to mention....I got a reward!!
Finally made it through Week 9 run 3, which is elating enough in itself...but as I was running along the road, I found a tenner in the street!! I was very honest and jogged about on the spot for a while looking for somebody who might have dropped it (looking no doubt like a complete nutter, and a rather

What a day
I went with a friend to Omaha (50 miles away) to Laurentzen Gardens and we walked through the building and then on a path all the way to the gate at the end. I had my coat unzipped until the return walk. It was probably about 55 degrees but there was a breeze. The Gardens are so beautiful, at all times

Another question for EmilyH
Hi Emily, We are still trying to diagnose our family with Long QT Syndrome. We have all had ECGs and Exercise Tests. Our QT intervals are all Borderline. Mine is actually below the borderline but the doctor said that it shortens with age sometimes. The kids are scheduled for Adrenaline Challenge Tests

Has anyone had tests for Primary Ciliary Dyskenesia?
My little girl has alot of the symptoms of PCD and is probably going to be having a lung biopsy to test. She has been put on Budesonide nebs, which seem to have had an effect on her symptoms (altho it could be sheer coincidence as we havent given it the month that it usually is between attacks!) Has
