Hi bettyflutterbye.

I was diagnosed four weeks ago. prescribed metronidazole (metrogel) applied morning and evening, apply and wait 30 minutes before applying SPF50+ all year round sun screen. visible improvement within two weeks. Difference in prescription could be explained by GP also having Rosacea!

Hi, are you still suffering with Rosacea? I've found that Forever aloe gelly and propolis creme works combined with drinking their aloe berry nectar or bits and peaches inner leaf gel. I'd be happy to consult with you if you would like further information, Rachael. rachaelguest@googlemail.com

Thanks Tom R for reply but still confused as my Dr didn't prescribe anything he actually said i should of gone to see him in winter months as what he would prescribe would make my skin photosensitive! . I already use a factor 50 anyway ,just getting fed up with the stinging /tingling sensation so wasn't expecting him just fob me off :(

I do not have rosacea, but have read that changing your diet to exclude many processed foods and including more fruit and veg can have a dramatic effect on your skin. Skin conditions are seen by many as toxins in the body coming out through the skin as the liver and kidneys are unable to deal with in the level of toxins in the body. As I am not a Dr or know anything of your diet, I cannot say, if you feel this is relevant. It might be worth googling "curing rosacea naturally" and see what comes up both in literature and in videos. If you don't know the film "Fat, Sick and nearly Dead!" by Joe Cross, it is worth watching to see what can happen when people change their diet. Good luck

The gp is right some of the antibiotic treatments does make you sensitive to sunlight, you can buy rosacea creams its just a case of finding what suits you

helen0701 will look at creams thanks ,just couldn't believe how indifferent he was towards me ,he'd also said i should moisturise & use a factor 50 ,(which i do anyway ) ,i went for advice because of the stinging sensation & i'm having sticky eyes ,which i think maybe related , i have thyroid problems so always check what i'm allowed to take in case of problems .
