Best Diet plan for lean body
It is generally true that calories consumed must be less than calories expended. However, that doesn't tell you much about how to actually IMPLEMENT a plan to achieve a healthy caloric deficit on an ongoing basis. At least another three months
Had my first visit to the biologics clinic and I do not qualify for biologics because I am not on MTX and didn't stay on it for 3 months before I stopped taking it, same with arava and now same with imuran. So my choices are go back on mtx and hope I don't kill someone due to the manic rage I experienced

Well it has been a whirlwind couple of weeks. Hubby home from New Zealand after 7 weeks with his kids, glad he did as it may be the last time they see him. Off to specialist with him as he is getting very deaf and I suspect early stages of dementia so doesn't understand what is being said to him. He

IF YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.. BEFORE PD, I WAS A CHEESE BURGER.
from my blog https://diaryofamadparkie.wordpress.com/ It has been said “You are what you eat” and it may be true. New research in mice suggests. upon aging, a high-fat diet significantly accelerated the onset of neurological symptoms in mice that were genetically predisposed to develop Parkinson’s

Food as Medicine
I am 53 and recently diagnosed with atrial flutter and fibrillation, very scary. The consultant put me on Bisoprolol 2.5mg but I have stopped taking it because it made symptoms extreme. I have started combining a plant food diet, magnesium and omega 3 in my everyday living and I have been feeling much

Some good news
I thought I would share a positive story with you all. I finally went to see my new Cardiologist, at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester, on Wednesday. I was very unhappy with the way I was treated during an, unsuccesful, electro cardioversion I received from Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry and asked to

No Thyroid and forgot how to feel happy...
Hi, Hello everyone, this is my first post and it has taking me ages to build up the courage to right. I was diagnosed back in April 2006 with Graves. In April 2011 I had the Radioactive iodine tablet. That worked for approx 6 months - went overactive again. They would not give me another dose as

Diagnosed 4 years ago and now struggling with bodily pain
Hi, I was diagnosed four years ago with PA but my ferritin and folate were only tested last summer for the first time, as I began to feel extremely tearful, the pins and needles in my hands, arms and feet returned, I continually felt as though I was going to black out, I was craving ice lollies all day

recently diagnosed with ITP
I was recently diagnosed with ITP. Taking 1.5mg prednisone and 100mg Imuran. I was misdiagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Lyme, and Neurosicticsircosis before. I am not sure we got the right disease now, but I will try the treatment and see if we finally got it. I am afraid it might be Leukemia.

Fluctuations...
Hello. I live in California, USA and tested positive for Hughes after years of chronic symptoms including muscle/joint pain, headaches, brain fog, GI issues, fatigue, etc. I have never had a clot/stroke. My rheumatologist recommended that I start baby aspirin as a preventative but didn't think Hughes

Imuran
Has anyone been prescribed Imuran for ITP? What are the side effects? Can you work given it suppresses your immune system?

Off MTX not sure what next
For those following at home........I spoke to the rheumy today and he agreed what I am experiencing is an adverse reaction to MTX, was surprised by my manic experience on Saturday morning but agreed that as it is me we were talking about anything is possible. He was disappointed that I cannot continue

immune boosters
Since the cause of Endometriosis is unknown, it is speculated that the underlying cause may be the flawed immune system. So, I just wanted to share with you a list of supplements I take to improve my immunity and keep the inflammation of Endometriosis as low as possible. My CRP (inflammation marker)

Experience with LFT's going up and down??
Hi Everyone, I was diagnosed in April with PBC. My LFT's and GGT were through the roof--I am talking an Alkaline Phosphatase of 1400. I began taking URSO, and after 2 months, my ALP had gone down to 366 and my AST and ALT were in the high 40's--down from 200 or so. All was well, but just had my blood

Multivitamins
Hi, I've looked into getting some supplements as my ferritin, B12, folate and Vitamin D are low and because I'm a fussy eater, have gone gluten-free and have trouble swallowing due to my neck swelling I suspect I could be deficient in other minerals and vitamins. My GP will not test for anything other

starting on MTX & Imuran
Well after a long journey, 2 1/2 years, I have finally got my liver to a level where it can tolerate MTX & Imuran. I go on Monday to get the scripts and instructions, but I can tell you I am not looking forward to MTX as my sister had a really bad time on it and I have multiple chemical sensitivities
