estrogen therapy
I am an older woman in my late 70s. I have been on the estrogen patch for many years after a complete hysterectomy in 1987. I was diagnosed with CLL in 1998 after being monitored for high wbc for 4 years prior to the diagnosis. Due to enlarged under arm lymph nodes and wbc of 35000 I was treated after

Return of endometriosis during menopause?
Hello, I had a laparoscopy back in 2014 for endometriosis after suffering symptoms for most of my adult life. I am now 52 and going throught the menopause. I am on oestrogen patches and take Utrogestan tablets for half of the month as I still have my womb and ovaries. The symptoms of pelvic/abdominal

Estrogen patches and thrush
I think I may have thrush and have read this is a side effect of Evorel patches. Am I allowed to take canestan (pessaries/ tablet?) before a transfer?

Run down before FET - will it affect outcomes? ( Impossible question, I know!)
Hi everyone, I just wondered if anyone can give me some much-needed reassurance about going ahead with FET even if you have been mildly ill in the run up. I'm due for a scan on Saturday to check lining thickness after 2 weeks on progynova. This is my first transfer and I've been doing what I can to

Hopefully On The Right Course
I have dealt with hypothyroidism and surgical menopause for several years. I did really well on oral estrogen and later put on levothyroxine when diagnosed with hypothyroidism and continued to do well until I didn't. Female Testosterone Replacement Users
My endo has suggested I replace very low levels of testosterone with Androfeme, to complement my existing HRT package of Lenzetto and Utrogestan. After learning Androfeme costs £150.00 upward, and that my NHS GP already has female patients supplementing testosterone, I approached him to take on my prescription

Query about varying test dates - programmed vs natural FET
Hello. Wondered if anyone could advise. I’m having a programmed transfer shortly. Our test date will be 14 days following transfer of a 5 day embryo. For previous natural FET’s our test date has been 11 days following transfer. Does anyone know why the advised test date would vary depending on the type

Menses, Mtx and Menopause..…
Hello women! I have finally got around to watching the two Davina McCall Menopause documentaries on All4.. I urge you to watch these if you haven’t seen them yet. Anyway. This is a bit of a weird one… I started taking Mtx 12 years ago at 42. My periods stopped immediately. I had a few ‘hot flushes

Vaginal oestrogen and gyno (man boobs) on husband
I'd just like to share my story about vaginal oestrogen. Before I started patch HRT, I decided to try vaginal oestrogen first to see if that would help with painful intercourse due vaginal atrophy brought on by the menopause. My (younger) husband is a health and fitness person who is super toned

Endo and HRT
I have not yet been diagnosed with endo but pretty sure I have it. I'm perimenopausal and my question is has anybody with endo successfully taken HRT? I feel I really need now due to menopause symptoms being so bad but worried about the oestrogen side making things worse. TIA

Test Result Advice
Hello all! Just got these bloodwork numbers back and could use some kind advice please. I used to take Armour Thyroid after a diagnosis of hypothyroid, then later Thiroyd from Thailand, and then only OTC glandular. I finally found a "functional med" doctor who put me on 15mg NP Thyroid after a test

Hi all just a quick update, I managed to hold out testing until this morning. Since 7dp ET I knew I hadn’t made it happen. Ladies with Endo know that pain all too well don’t we? I’ve had zero bleeding in comparison to my first round, but I’m on a ton of progesterone and estrogen that’ll be it right?

ERA test and hormone bloods
Hi I am due to have an ERA test and just took a final look at my clinic notes which say "you may be asked to have a hormone blood test a few days before the procedure to see how you are absorbing the medication". I am on estrogen tablets and patches, and also two forms of progesterone in the form

First FET - what grade embryo?
Hi all We’re due to begin our first FET next month. We have 5 embryos frozen. Some average, some good quality. In our initial consultation I asked what grade embryo would be transferred, worst or best. We were told the best will be transferred first. We’re grateful to be in this position, however

Is it normal after receiving two firmagon shots in the abdomen for the injection areas to be hard?
Well good news bad news. I qualified for a cutting edge trial at Yale, unfortunately they won’t let me do it until I’m back on a SOC ADT drug for two months. I bit the bullet because I’m allowed to stay on the estrogen gel to control the hot flashes. I had my first firmagon shots Tuesday. Two needles

When to apply Oestrogen gel
Hello there I recently switched from the Estradot patches to
Oestrogel
as I wasn’t absorbing the patches well. I am now struggling to find a consistent time to put on the gel. When i work from home I will exercise in the morning, so shower twice.

Hi All - Gynecomastia
Hi everyone, so a bit of background from me. 40 year old male, always been a social drinker until covid hit then I started drinking a bit more. Just before covid in 2019 I went to the docs as I generally felt rubbish, tired and some abdominal pain and had full blood panels inc LFTs and all was clear.
