I am due to have an ERA test and just took a final look at my clinic notes which say "you may be asked to have a hormone blood test a few days before the procedure to see how you are absorbing the medication".
I am on estrogen tablets and patches, and also two forms of progesterone in the form of Cyclogest (x2 a day) and Prontogest (intra muscular injections) 😮
I haven't been asked to have any hormone blood test and the procedure is today. My question is have others had a hormone blood test prior to an ERA? Why might I not have been asked to? I did wonder if its because I'm on the progesterone oil injections. Now I'm worried that I should have had a blood test and haven't had one. Insights appreciated xx

I had a progesterone test just prior (like 15 minutes prior) to the ERA - and this is because they needed to know what my levels were on that much progesterone at time of mock 'transfer' - and every transfer after the ERA they gave me the EXACT same amount of progesterone before, tested 15 minutes prior to the transfer, and upped my progesterone just AFTER transfer.
I'd give them a call or ask when you get there if you need to be tested, but I wouldn't worry that it hasn't happened earlier than today! Good luck with the procedure x
I had an ERA test last January and didn’t have a test beforehand. I honestly can’t remember if I had one on the day of the test but I don’t think so. Xx
hi Skittles11 when I arrived to clinic for ERA I had a test for progesterone, alike what happens on day of transfer. I think it was around an hour before ERA took place. Good luck ❤️
