Oral Thrush...
Have just been diagnosed with oral thrush and have been prescribed nystatin. It started on Monday and had gradually been getting worse so finally went to the doctors today. I feel perfectly fine in myself, no fever, or nausea, just sore tongue and lips. My main question is how long before the nystatin

Raging Rash
I've been taking Ibrutinib for 16 months. The first 8 months I had no problems. Now 7 months ago I started having a rash on my legs, some on my chest and shoulders. I saw my dermatologist and tried several creams. Triamcinolone Acetonide gives some relief. Now it is the worst it has been. My MD took

Triamcinolone - anyone tried this?
Hello, I have just come across this drug, recommended for use against hay-fever and other allergies but co-incidentally also helping with RA pain. Does anyone have any experience of this drug please? As I've proved allergic to everything except Naproxen and Oramorph over the past 7 years, I'm curious

Oral Thrush
Hi, Has anyone else had oral thrush. After 3 double doses of antibiotics I have been left with oral thrush. I have been on 2 different courses of medication. Nystan and Fluconazole 50mg. twice a day. I was seen at the hospital, they took a lot of blood tests about 2 months ago but I have not heard anything

Confused
Hi there! I'm new here. As the title says really, I'm confused. I'm 59, took early retirement nearly two years ago and live with my husband and an assortment of animals, including 10 cats (soon to become 11). We also have llamas and a pig on our 2.5 acres. Over the past 10 years or more, I had what I

Ulcers in mouth
Ladies, please help me with ulcers in my mouth. One I have is on my tongue, I haven't been eaten over a week now. I can't chew, swallow and talk (my husband is happy with me sitting quiet 😉), but I can't cope anymore. I've tried everything, lots of mouth washes, BMX, nystatin, salty water, coconut oil

Spasticity (Triamcinolone Acetonide)
Triamcinolone Acetonide is a corticosteroid, it's usually sold as a cream for topical treatment. But look at these trials when it is applied intrathecally https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26584946 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25224601 Here is a quote... Infections cause setbacks?
I was diagnosed with hypo and Hashimotos in June after suffering what I though was flu. Long story, familiar to many, of tortured route to diagnosis, but my gp seemed to know what he was on about when he rang me in the evening of the same day I had my tsh etc checked and told me it was over 100 and needed

Help! Oral Thrush
I'm having my first ever experience with ora thrush. i think I've had it for 3 weeks now, been on fluconazole for 2 weeks 100mg but it's not done much really although more pink bits I guess. It's just on my tongue but potentially further down my throat too as I'm having to clear my throat all the time

New Introduction
Hi Everyone, I have to say I'm so glad I found this list. I don't feel so alone now. I am in the US California. I have ET with JAK2 positive since about 2005, daily aspirin at 81 mg and I resisted the Hydroxyurea until Jan of this year as my platelets jumped into 900 range. I am now on 3 of the 500

Oral thrush
Since I was on antibiotics for a chest infection back in March, with regularly taking clenil, I have had outbreaks of oral thrush. Though I don't always have plaques, I can sort of feel it most or all of the time. Just now I am on large doses of symbicort, so I still will need to keep on top of it.

Systemic candidiasis ??
Hi everyone, I've not been on Thyroid forum before, only Rheumatoid Arthritis one, but I was disagnosed with underactive thyroid years ago, taken levothyroxine ever since. Been reading a lot about the theories that all inflammation starts in the gut, and because I also get a lot of what I think is bloating
