SWEATING PMR/GCA AND TAPERING
I know this subject has come up before on this forum but as I am having MY turn with breaking into grandiose sweats (night and day) I thought I'd 'air' (preferably cool-air) the subject again. After tapering to 12.5mg from a high Pred dose for GCA a year ago - yes I know (I was wishful thinking) TOO

4 year old boy wetting
We have always had trouble with toilet training - we have been doing it for 18 months. We began more at a push from the nursery as he was going up to an older class. Pooing was always the initial problem. So much so he would try and push it back up. when he eventually sat on the potty or the toilet

My little man 4y 8 months has rarely had a dry day in his life. He withholds day in and out but will hide in a spot and move his bowels in his pants. He also has regular urine accidents. CONDOLENCES TO ALL SUFFERING A LOSS.......
"And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age." (somewhere in Matthew?) As long as you remember them--and what and who you were in their physical presence--they are there with you. Not the same, surely, but comforting nonetheless, at least to me. I was emotionally and physically shattered

diet coke
Does anyone here drink a lot of diet coke. I have had 2 terrible bouts of anxiety and depression over the last 20 years. I was a habitual diet coke drinker, maybe 3 to 4 cans a day and each time I decided to quit drinking to try to be healthier Each bout of anxiety/depression occurred around these

What to do?
After being in hospital,- Palliative Care for weeks, B is now in a wonderful nursing home. Twice, he has struggled to keep going, once, my son and I stayed overnight, as we thought he would not survive until the morning. The care and nursing that he received pulled B. through. He did want to come home

Merry Christmas from those in power; it's a snakes and ladders game
Merry Christmas from those in power; it's a snakes and ladders game Stress, worry and upset, a struggle to claim benefits but who's to blame? An independent assessor using a tick box form or more likely a privileged peer?! The worst present ever! And certainly NOT what we need at this time of year :(

Just a chat
Good morning everyone , woke up to a christmas card look outside this morning. Just had another flurry of snow after I cleared the path, not too deep but if it freezes tonight might be hazardous tommorrow by road and foot. Have to get to doctors for appointment this afternoon, but otherwise had a nice

Two Steps Backwards, One Step Forward
When you feel like you're losing progress in your effort to be happy again, you may be in for a big surprise. Life is so unpredictable. We never know what's around the next corner. I learned that lesson for real today. This morning, Christmas Day, I woke up to find my husband had left the house again

Anoxic/Hypoxic Injury Memory Recovery
Hello there, I feel very sheepish writing this post as I am the cause of my own injury, I hope that that is OK. I had a severe bout of depression due to my bipolar disorder 5 months ago which I wasn't handling correctly. I was extremely low and in a moment of (literal) madness I tried to hang myself

Did anybody have a third degree tear with a vaginal birth despite having an episiotomy? If so how did you cope afterwards?
