Vasovagal syncope and intermittent av block?
A little history: I've had vasovagal syncope since childhood. The first episode at 11 years old and the last during a pregnancy 7 years ago (at 25. I'm 32 now). They were quite frequent and all have been after vomiting - most during "that time of the month". I've not had any fainting since 25yo (until

New to Apixaban
Well, my first day on Apixaban today. I have been on Warfarin since 2005 but recently my INR readings have been all over the place - last but one was 6.7, the highest it has ever been. Anyway, Apixaban it is. Can anyone tell me how I will know if my INR is OK - if indeed that is the measurement with

Coming off Tambocor (flecainide)
So I have been on flecainide since April 2017 and we (my EP and I) are seeing if we can stop taking it (I had an ablation in Jan 2017). I have been on 100mg per day (the slow release capsules) and went cold turkey on Monday. I am still on xarelto (anti coag) and cardicor (beta blocker) and am now feeling

Hello all, I had the above procedure nearly 2 weeks ago. Had one good day but since then I feel exactly the same as if I never had anything done. The follow up is a phone call in 4 weeks from now so I am wondering if it could take up to 6 weeks to work?? Does anyone know, I only recall the nurse saying

Shame
It has been found that early childhood victomization, particularly (but not limited to) sexual abuse, leads to some of the most intense feelings of shame, and are also powerful catalysts to not only PTSD, as one could only expect, but to issues of anxiety and depression in almost every case. As a sufferer

Post ablation
My ablation was March 29 2017. Had some aflutter or tachycardia issues and wnnt back in the day I came home. I had a heart rate of 125 and was scared. Diltiazem and amiorderone drip lowered the rate but went home in tachycardia and on amiorderone 200. Now on 100. Mg. I’m scared of that. My issue

Problem getting tetanus booster due to methotrexate - anyone else had this?
Morning everyone I got bitten by my kids’ new rodent yesterday. Bloody stupid me being very impatient to get the beast out of its box. Took myself off to urgent cate to get a tetanus booster because I don’t think I’ve ever had one...and was told no because apparently it’s combined with two other vaccines

Constant dizziness following viral meningitis
I would be interested to know if anyone has been suffering from chronic and continual non relenting dizziness months after supposedly recovering from viral meningitis. If so,has anyone discovered a cure or at least anything that helps to combat this.

Kardia and tachycardia
Hello, I'm trying to get to grips with understanding the Kardia and it's capabilities for arrhythmias other than AF. It flagged up multiple atrial ectopics for me yesterday, but this trace from today showed as normal. My heart rate went from the 60s into the 170s for the few seconds this wasn't showing

Since coming off Flecainide
I wrote a couple of weeks ago about my Cardiologist taking me off Flecainide. Since coming off it for the 1st week I was getting a lot of ectopic beats but they settled down. 2 days ago I was in work had a meal then stretched back in my chair which started my heart to race to 208 BPM. I used my Kardia

This Year's (2017/18) Flu Vaccine
It seems some people with APS have no problems with the Flu vaccine, while others do. This year, my INR shot up to 7.7. And, I seemed to have some type of flare. I've been suffering for weeks after the shot. Professor Shoenfeld in Israel (and others) is doing work on adjuvant syndrome, whereby the flu
