Confused afiber
Hi, I was diagnosed with afib two years ago with a single episode, I now take Apixaban and bisoprolol daily. I had a heart scan at the time and all was well but I haven't seen a Cardiologist at all, I asked my gp if I should have had checks ups and he said no, is this the norm? Put on drugs and left

Hello all. Over the past few months I’ve felt on the brink of passing out many times. I have a history of ectopic beats and ventricular tachycardia. I take daily Verapamil and Flecainide for this. This afternoon I had a 7 day ECG fitted. The routine ECG carried out beforehand showed a pause between

Ectopic beats?
Hi all, I have PAF and as I can’t tolerate the meds I am due to have an ablation in July. Over the last couple of days I have been experiencing what I assume are lots of ectopic beats on and off during that time. I have a Kardia mobile device and keep getting ‘unclassified’ readings as opposed to ‘possible

BISOPROLOL
Hi everyone, I have been having a debate with my pharmacist regarding Bisoprolol. Certain manufacturers, like Sandoz and Bayer have the active ingredient Bisoprolol Fumarate. However, the one that suits me is produced by Merck (is called Cardicor), and has the active ingredient Bisoprolol Hemifumarate

What is Fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia is an invisible illness and it’s more common that you may think! It is estimated that there may be over 3 million people living with Fibromyalgia in the UK alone, between 2.9 and 4.7% of the population worldwide, despite this awareness for this debilitating condition remains low. 12th May

Please recommend slecialists on meningitis
Hi again! I’m from Russia, and I think I have a subacute or chronic meningitis, probably viral. Here doctors apparently have low expertise because they just dismiss my concerns and don’t help. I have 37.4 fever, don’t have appetite and I have a head ache and neck ache. I feel that I need to urgently

Fast heart rate
My tsh is 0.86 t417 and t3 5.00 but recently after taking 75 mgs levothyroxine about 2 hours later my heart rate goes up to 108. I am getting over shingles so is it levothyroxine or aftermath of shingles.

Care after your Cardiac Operation
3 years ago I had open heart surgery to replace my aortic valve. I had a tissue valve so no need for warfarin etc. Physically I recovered well but got little or no aftercare which is so important. My doctor at that time was little use and by the time I persuaded him to refer me for cardio rehab (at

I had my second heart ablation on Tuesday for bigeminy / frequent PVCs . I had a post op groin bleed and almost fainted 6 hours after the procedure - i am home now but feel extremely weak, tired and a bit dizzy when I am upright . My resting heart rate is currently 56-60! HB romping along at 100, after 12 days....
To recap: 4 weeks ago I had an, apparently sucessful, dual ablation for flutter and A fib. Afterwards I felt pretty good with a steady HB around 60. 12 days ago my heart started racing, and after an unsucessful attempt at conversion using Flecainide as a PIP, I was told to add a daily dose of 2x100
