Has anyone tried the Livia machine (mini tens machine) for the pain? I bought one a while back but am too scared to use it ! People I know with endo have recommended it but I'm scared what if it's dangerous as it's essentially electric pulses!? X

I wanted to get one but it's rather expensive and I can't afford it unfortunately will try save up. If I'm honest I'd do anything to get rid of the pain - worth giving it a go I'd say ive read up on it and not heard of any risks?

It’s basically just an expensive tens machine x

Hello,

I bought it over a month ago as well and only tried it a couple of time while on my period. It seemed to have worked. I felt a bit weird at first to try it but then it was ok. It's not that scary actually and as long as you don't start with the very high settings the first times, it's fine... you won't even feel it. When you set it on higher it does give you faster electrical impulses which can feel quite scary but it doesnt really hurt. ;)

Give it a go if you are in pain. I once kept it all day on me while walking for hours... and I think it helped after a couple of hours. Good luck and let me know how it goes for you. I brought it in to work with me today as I'm on my second heavy day of period so I might need to use it... x

Hiya thank you, I think I'm not worried about pain but more worried about it having a bad effect, I know it sounds silly, but like what if it is dangerous to my ovaries? It's electric pulses at the end of the day like they say using your phone too much causes cancer surely an electric shock machine can't be safe on your reproductive system? I regret buying mine till I really thought about it as it was so much money 😩 Xxx

They’re 100% safe, it’s only not advisable to use them if you have a pacemaker! The electric pulses basically mimic natural signals your body normally sends to the brain, but instead it blocks your bodies natural pain signals so your brain never registers them, x

Hmm, that's reassuring, I definitely don't want to waste the money I've spent and seeing as I'm in agony right now it might be worth a try and worth cracking open the box it's been sat in for three weeks! Thank you xxx

I have a Livia and have been using it for about 6 months on and off. It does work for small to medium pain. For really bad ending pain I take painkillers and use the Livia. I highly recommend it.

Thank you, it's good to get reviews on it from someone real and not the websites potential fake ones, I'm definitely going to give it a go now ! Xx
