"Today's anxiety attack is a real belter, how do I cope?"
You cope with it by doing nothing. That's right, nothing. You accept it for the time being. You agree to co-exist with it for the moment. You engage in 'masterly inactivity' to use the words of the woman who cracked the anxiety code and cured tens of millions of people of their anxiety disorder. And

Metoprolol stopped working / quad bypass surgery
I have been taking 50mg of Metoprolol since I had quad bypass 9 weeks ago. It has kept my blood pressure down into normal range but about a week ago I started getting slight pain in my arms, under my shoulder blades and shortness of breath when active and moving around. I also noticed that my blood

Any studies on longterm effects of live shingles vaccine and PMR
I was wondering if anyone knows of any studies that have been done about those of us that contracted PMR after taking the live shingles vaccine. I wonder if PMR will last as long in our system as the shingles vaccine antibodies are active in our system? The pharmacist says the antibodies last 5+years

Vulvodynia aching and burning pain
I was given a pudendal
nerve
block
during pelvic surgery, apparently as a pain reliever, and all the doctors feel this is what has caused the problem.

PAF to persistent
I have been in AF for 2.5 weeks now. Normally always reverted to sinus rhythm before 7 days. Any suggestions on what I could do to help convert back. Do you think it can still be possible that I revert? I’m on 1.25mg Bisoprolol and apixaban. My dosage of Bisoprolol had to be reduced almost 2 years ago

Hopefully the next week will tell..!
Hi all, appointment went well, ECG proved what I already knew. Two things, still in Sinus Rhythm & low pulse, but Blood pressure good at 134/62. So dropping my Bisoprolol down to 2.5mg for the coming week with another appointment due for next Wednesday. Can't argue with that.

Change of blood thinner...
Hi, I'm feeling a little apprehensive! Yesterday I said goodbye to Warfarin and because my blood was too thin to start Apixaban right away, I've to wait until tomorrow morning before I can take another blood thinner, so hoping a couple of days without a blood thinner will not be a problem? Checking

Shingles vaccine
Shingles vaccine. Hi am am ETJak2+, I am unable to have the live shingles vaccine with nhs, but I have read that there is an inert vaccine available. Has anyone had this on the nhs and if so how did you achieve it. Thank you in advance.

Bisoprolol tablets
Good Morning All, my heart decided to have a flip yesterday after 12 months free. It is more ectopic beats now than AF. Pulse seems to be faint ever other one. Instead of a strong pulse that you can feel. I was cut down from 10mg to now on 5 mg in January. Does anyone just take extra bisoprolol without

Viral meningitis last month
Last month, July 2020, I was diagnosed with viral meningitis after being misdiagnosed with covid (by two different md). So it went on for about 11 days before being diagnosed at the tail end of it. Now, a month later I am still having grogginess and eye spots, major fatigue. Several other lingering symptoms

As many of you will have read I had a left leg BKA (below knee amputation) a month ago today due to complications of PAD (peripheral arterial disease). With tens of thousands of members I cannot be the first or last amputee. Famous people who suffered the same fate include Jan-Michael Vincent (who played

Recovery begins with one small step.
You have taken the first step towards recovery. You have decided to FACE the reality of your anxiety disorder. No more worrying that it's some life threatening physical affliction. No more telling yourself the doctors "must have got it wrong". It's anxiety disorder for certain. The next step is to ACCEPT

Seen a lot of posts by people with all kinds of side effects from this disease so I just thought I’d put this out here in case someone can benefit from it - wondering if anyone else out there has come across the People’s Chemist? It’s operated by medical chemist Shane Ellison M.S. who formerly worked

Mobitz ii Heart Block Questions
Hi guys, this is my first post, apologies for it being long, the paragraph below sums my situation up if you can’t be bothered reading. Go easy on me, I am struggling and wanting something positive to focus on. I recently had a 3 day holter for palpitations which revealed that I had occasional instances

Took the leap of faith 🤞🏻
After nearly 5 weeks in Af, had a telephone consultation with specialist. Prescribed Flecaneide 100 mg twice a day. My fear of this medication was finally out weighed with the length of this Af episode. Took my first dose yesterday and miracle of miracles back in sinus rhythm within 2 hours! Still

Apixaban and Dentist's
I am on Apixaban and I have to have a wisdom tooth removed. My Dentist is reluctant to do it without consulting with my GP. He has no experience with Apixaban. And is in need of advice with regards the stopping of Apixaban prior to the tooth removal. I cannot get in touch with my GP due to surgery
