Regarding meningitis

I got meningitis in september2017 now I cured but I am feeling so tired and want to take rest all time. I am not able to focus on anything. Please answer me

Hi,

I too contracted viral meningitis September 2017 and am having the same issues around not being able to concentrate!! The only thing i know going through this journey is that time is the best healer.

Hello,

I had bacterial meningitis in September 2017 too. I spent time in intensive care and when I came home from hospital, I couldn't even get up the stairs at home without having to stop and rest halfway up.

I have recovered well though and 8 months later, it is the tiredness and difficulty in concentrating that I am still struggling with. My memory is also terrible, whereas I had an amazing memory before I became ill.

Like Daniel said, I think that it will take time though and that I just have to be patient and hope that things will improve. I also keep reminding myself that I have been lucky and came out of this a lot better than some people do.

It will take a long time but you will get there . Rest when you feel tired!. Trust your body

It seems the fatigue stays with you for a long time. I'm not sure how old you are but i was 65 when i got sick and to this day I have only a few hours a day I am able to to anything at all! It's been over 2 years and I still have balance issues, memory problems, and the extreme fatigue. I pray your recovery is speedy and complete.
