Does anyone recognise this pattern?
I am a fit 56 year old man who was diagnosed with SSc about 15 months ago but didn't really know what that meant having never been ill! Since then I have been on several cocktails of drugs including mycophenolate, hydroxychloroquine, prednisone, nifedipine, lorsartan and recently naproxen, gabapentin

Cortisone injection
So I'm wondering what sort of response anyone has to extra-articular steroid injection. I had an acute bout of bursitis a few weeks back. I had an injection ( not in the joint) of depomedrol and lidocaine. I had so little change in my pain level that I went to ER. Toradol injection, naproxen and a sling

Xofigo update
Had my fourth Xofigo (radium 223) injection last Monday. Still no significant side effects. PSA now down to .9. Still getting good pain relief from mets in thoracic spine, sternum, ribs and femur. Pain generally tolerable but requiring naproxen sodium occasionally if it starts to increase. Haven't

Could this be related to my endo?
I've been battling symptoms of endometriosis for a couple of years now but I don't have an official diagnosis because they won't do a laparoscopy until I lose weight. At first my main symptoms were extreme pain when having a bowel movement (like I was being stabbed repeatedly), near constant pain over

Appointment at 1.30pm today - feeling nervous
So I had my last lap in December and I was told that they had found endo and removed it but his words to me after the lap was 'I cant understand why you tell me you've had so much pain when it was only minimal' so I went away with this and didn't really know how to feel, I had no follow up appointment

Started methotrexate today.
Hi, since my last post, started on methotrexate today, only 10mg, feel quite spaced out, has been a funny month since stopping Azathioprine and also taking Amitripyiline for just 12 days. Back on naproxen, I upped my steroids to 10mg at the start, as was having a flare, now on 6mg and will go back to

How does stress affect RA?
I have been under a tremendous amount of stress lately. Seems like everything always happens at once! I have had increased pain, fatigue, insomnia, and generally just been feeling worse. Could this be due to the stress? I am only on Naproxen for pain and methotrexate for the RA. The naproxen really helped

Hi all So I've recently been diagnosed of fibromyalgia. It's a relief as I had been misdiagnosed of several other conditions that didn't quite cover all my symptoms. I'm now diagnosed with 6 conditions which is a lot less than what I was previously diagnosed off. The reason I'm writing is because I want

hi guys, I've been having what I would call a serious downer day today! Just got in from a family dog walk which I knew I shouldn't have attempted, nearly sick, thought I was going to fall down, got home and laying down and just want to cry! My stomach ache has spread from right side all across my lower

I've become a walking whoopie cushion ...lol
I've been taking meds for PsA since April and I've turned into a walking fart machine! Hydroxychloroquine, Gabapentin, Amitriptyline, Naproxen all contribute to me becoming my own version of a spluttering motorbike circa 1935. Does anyone else have this problem , which sometimes is not controllable lol

I'm new here...
Have just joined and looking through the many posts, it does seem to be a great support. I have had RA for 31 years, was also diagnosed with stystemic lupus in the early years. Mostly affecting my feet, ankles hands and wrists. Had many steroid injections, plus bed rests and took daily steroids, Azathioprine
