Gonapeptyl injections, fibroid, madness
Good afternoon, I am really worried. I've seen various gynaecologist, but I am really not happy. The short story is: in October 2016 a scan shows that I got various fibroids. I was having heavy periods compare to my normal ones and I was anaemic. The gp prescribed tremaxemic acid and metanfemic acid

34 wanna be mum with Polycystic Ovaries
Hello, I am 34 years old, and was finding it hard to get pregnant, so went to docs and they started investigating and said weight is a big factor. So I joined a Free NHS weight loss club called "My Weight Matters" local to me. I started out at 23 stone, and now 19.1 stone, but really struggling to lose

Mirena coil & endometriosis
Hi all, Can anyone tell me - if the Mirena coil is put in place after a laparoscopy to treat endometriosis, is it supposed to stop monthly periods? If you continue to have monthly periods (although they are lighter), does that mean that the coil isn't working for the endometriosis? Thanks.

I've been back and forward to gp/hospital for years! Now they are finally querying endo! Back in 2015 I had a lap under surgeons who found 'retrograde menstruation'. Although bcos it was under the surgeons I do wonder if endo was there and they just aren't trained to see it? Anyway, since then I've

After consultant update
So I saw my consultant yesterday. I told her that although I had felt really good for 6/8 weeks the last 2 weeks I'm back to square one. She said I need to persevere with the mirena for another 3 months. If I am still in pain then she will take it out and look into something else. I did feel she wasn't

First post here... looking for some support and advice :(
Hello, After a few weeks on there, this is my very first post. I felt the need to write something after I experienced the worst pain I ever had last night... I have not yet been formally diagnosed with endo and I think this is one of the most frustrating things. I'm going to try to share my story below

My journey to a diagnosis
Hello ladies, I'm 22 years old and was finally (after nearly 8 long years) diagnosed with endometriosis. As terrifying as it was to know I had this problem it was such a relief to know I had something and all the pain and ongoing problems weren't in my head. My laparoscopy was my last option after

Advice on coil please!!
Hey had mirena coil 8 days they wanted to try it for my suspected endo, now I have bled daily since and have suffered cramps and feeling sick daily too. I can't help but worry that if it is endo, being on the coil wont help if I'm bleeding doesn't that defeat the object? Also I don't think it's going

Endometriosis treatment & migraines
Hi, I was diagnosed with Endometriosis in 2015. I had a laparoscopy to remove adhesions and the Mirena coil inserted afterwards to deal with any further Endometriosis. But the Mirena coil doesn't appear to be working. I am still having monthly periods (should these have gone away with the Mirena coil

Mirena & excruciating pain
I had my mirena fitted 3 weeks ago during a diagnostic lap & hysteroscopy. First day of period today & I feel like I'm in labour. I have pain constantly but this is something else. The pain is overwhelming & it bringing me to tears. No amount of pain killers, burning hot water bottles, breathing techniques
