After consultant update

So I saw my consultant yesterday.

I told her that although I had felt really good for 6/8 weeks the last 2 weeks I'm back to square one.

She said I need to persevere with the mirena for another 3 months. If I am still in pain then she will take it out and look into something else.

I did feel she wasn't really interested in what I has to say. It was like she knew what she was going to say to me before I even walked in the room.

She has written a letter to my doctor (why can't they email) to ask him To prescribe me some amitriptyline and naproxen. I hope these are better than the tramadol, zapain and ibruprofen I've been taking.

I did mention how I want a hysterectomy and she just smiled and said that's what almost everyone I see wants. So doesn't look like thats going to happen.

Has anyone had a hysterectomy privately? I'm thinking of looking into it.
