Mirena coil bladder pain
Can anyone help. Six months after having the mirena coil fitted I developed a pressure pain, that felt like cystitis. I had a dip test and it wasn’t a UTI. They looked for my coil and couldn’t see it. I had it removed by a private gynae because I couldn’t bare the wait on the nhs over xmas. The pain

Adenomyosis: is Mirena suitable?
Hi all, I've had Adenomyosis for a number of years and it sucks. I'm 49 and am praying for menopause in the hope it'll solve it. Currently, I'm having issues with low ferritin (iron stores), this has been ongoing for years after constantly spotting with IUDs. I was told I have fibroids many years ago

Excruciating pain after lap and Mirena
Hi ladies, Im writing in despair, I just had my first lap 3 weeks ago and Found endo in level 2 spread around in bowel, bladder, uterus and ovaries. Then I put the Mirena coil as a big hope to keep it clean, but since the I've been feeling excruciating pain, unbearable. I went to my GP then to the emergency

Hysterectomy and endometriosis
Hi all. I'm new to this site. I've suffered for years with Polycystic ovary syndrome and endometriosis. Had a laparoscopy 2 and a half years ago when they diagnosed endo. They fitted the mirena coil at the same time and Said this will help with the symptoms. It did ease the pain slightly for a while

Caught in a postcode lottery
Hey ho...more of a ramble than anything. Went to new hospital team yesterday. I use the term 'team' very loosely as I felt more like cattle at an auction house than anything. It was all very efficient, very businesslike, and incredibly remote emotionally. New rheumy is very detached and professional,

6 days pot op!
Hi all! So I'm 6 days after my op. I had lap to remove endo and cyst from my right ovary. I had the mirena fitted too. I keep getting a sharp pain in side my right side. Could this be the coil? Or the fact they've removed a cyst?

Succumbing to depression....
It's been 13 months since my diagnosis, I've gotten through a diagnostic lap, a sigmoidoscopy, a Mirena, a disastrous zoladex trial, a vomit laden picolax bowel prep, my excision and bowel shave, a week in hospital with viral meningitis, 3 agonising lumbar punctures a horrendous enema, and the post

Anything stronger than codeine? 😫
Hi all so I had a lap on Wednesday, endo removed and adehesions, also a cyst and the mirena fitted. My normal codeine 30 mg are barely giving me any relief. I'm going to call the go today. Thanks in advance x

Plan of action?
Hello ladies. Have not wrote a post for some time now! I was diagnosed with grade4 severe endo/ Adno about four years ago. Long story short I had some other stuff going on with cancer on my head and could deal with the to. I was told to have coil or mini pill to stop my periods. Last year I decided

Vaginal bleeding during BM
Hi there. This post might be a bit TMI but I had the mirena coil fitted about 6/7 weeks ago and have had 2 heavy bleeds (i think i am just finishing the 2nd one now) and spotting practically every day since having it in. But everytime I think it's stopped I seem to bleed again while doing a bowel movement

Mirena coil or depo injection??
I am 17, experiencing exp trend cramping and back pains. Been to gynae on Tuesday and she said one of the two options I should benefit from. However she will see me in 6/8 months time to see if either have worked and if surgery to investigate is necessary. Can someone give me some information on either

Medication and menstrual cycle
Hello Ladies, I was recently put on Azathioprine and colchicine for my BD and my cycle seems to have stopped completely. I also have the mirena coil and am definitely not pregnant. Just wondered if anyone else had the same thing happen? I know the mirena coil can stop periods altogether but I've had

Second appointment with the gyne, very disappointed and feeling very down
Hi guys, I had a second appointment with a general gyne on Friday. I was hopeful they would go down the endo route as it's been suspected by several GPs I saw and all my symptoms point to it. After being on the mirena for a few months with very little improvement and the pain getting worse in itself

Mirena coil - should I have it removed?
Hello, hoping I can get some advice - I’ve had the mirena coil in for a year a half now and recently I’ve started to notice that my hormones have become quite intense. I feel like I’m coming on my period a lot and my boobs are so big! I don’t have periods anymore which is a plus but as far as my endometriosis

Gonapeptyl injection, fibroid, madness
Good afternoon, I am really worried. I've seen various gynaecologist, but I am really not happy. The short story is: in October 2016 a scan shows that I got various fibroids. I was having heavy periods compare to my normal ones and I was anaemic. The gp prescribed tremaxemic acid and metanfemic acid
