Hi all, I'm new to this

I was diagnosed June last year and had a marina coil fitted at my laparoscopic and since then I haven't had any signs of any periods let alone endos. But for the last week and a half I've had the pain return and I've been spotting. do I need to go to the doctors for a checkup or is this normal?

Hi Louise

I was diagnosed with endo in 2002 and it was at stage 4 before I fell pregnant in 2006. I've had a mirena coil for almost 5 years, about to get it changed now, it really curbed heavy periods, I definitely remember spotting and I have had that here and there over the last 5 years.. no concern. If worried talk to the person that inserted it or your consultant.. x

Thank you so much, that's really put my mind at ease! My endos isn't something I talk about particularly openly, not that I'm ashamed but I know that most people don't know what it is or understand, so having reassurance from someone that's been through it makes me feel so much better xo
