Mirena and Fatigue
Hi all, I had the mirena inserted about a week before my period was due, I’ve had the mirena twice before. First time I remember having hot flushes and feeling rotten but it was so long ago I can’t remember exactly why I felt rough but I remember bleeding for 40 days straight then nothing till removal

Newbie
So, brand new to this forum! I’ve had Gynae probs now for about 6 years, well longer but that’s been the worst. My heavy periods and cramps were eased by the pill (vilest) from I was about 14. I was on that for about 12 years despite having migraines 🙄. When my mum was diagnosed with multiple strokes

Mirena coil?
Anyone have the mirena coil? My doctor has recommended me to have this fitted since I have a hormonal imbalance due to the contraceptive pill I was taking. Symptoms include depression and anxiety amongst many others but, I am very nervous and anxious about having this coil fitted as I don't know what

Marina coil
I got the marina coil fitted 4 years ago. Recently in the last 2 months my periods have come back. I went to my doctor she said it is nothing to worry about. I am not initially satisfied with her response. She gave me no reason. I feel I am no wise.

Pain associated with bowel habits
Hi guys, I was recently diagnosed (well, havent had lap yet) with endometriosis following symptoms of terrible cramps during period, painful spot on sex and pain all throughout. I haven't had a lap yet as I was told my Mirena can improve my symptoms if I give it a bit more time and could spare me a surgery

Mirena: pain without bleeding?
Hello, After 9 months and a short course of norethisterone, my Mirena seems to finally be "working" in the sense I am not getting a period anymore... However I notice I am still getting pain which seems to be cyclical, i.e. during what should be my ovulation time and also when I should be getting a period

Mirena Coil for 16 year old girl? Has to be fitted soon :(
Hi, I'm debating going through with the mirena coil and would like some advice from people who've had it (I'd love anybody's advice, but particularly if you haven't had children so I know what the pain is like). I've been on the pill since I was 11, having had horrendous periods starting when I was 10

Advice when trying for a baby
Hey all, So here goes.... I’ve had 5 miscarriages and had an eptopic pregnancy. All miscarriages where when I was on contraception and when we weren’t trying for a baby (the pill and mirena coil). The eptopic pregnancy when we were actively trying to have a baby with me without any contraception for

Cramping after exercise - Mirena?
I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this... I had my Mirena fitted in November, and 2 months ago started a PT programme. The first 6 weeks were absolutely fine, but for at least the last 2 weeks I get really bad abdominal cramps that come on about 1-2 hours after my session ends, and today

The first time I knew something was wrong...
Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you all the story of my first experience with my endometriosis (un-diagnosed but hopefully rectifying that in the next couple of weeks!). I was only about 13 years old when the worst period of my life hit me mid week at home while I was helping my mum cook dinner for

Adenomyosis: Mirena or Implant?
Hi all, I have adenomyosis. Also had bilateral endometrial cysts. Had my lap one year ago, removed one ovary and cut half from the other ovary. No endo outside uterus was found. Was on progesteron (200 mg) for 6 months, no periods at all but had a functional cyst, 1 tiny fibroid and no adeno on the

Recovery from laparoscopy
I've recently been diagnosed with endometriosis after 2-3 years of pain. 2 weeks ago I had a laparoscopy for a diagnosis, they found slight endometriosis and managed to remove it straight away. Reoccurrence of endo after surgery?
Hi all, I’m a newbie here but was hoping for some advice from you lovely lot. About 18 months ago I had surgery to remove a large fibroid and during the surgery they found endo too which they removed. I was told in follow up appointment about 6 months later that I should go on the pill to reduce chances

Newly Diagnosed Or Not ?
Hi all I’m new to the forum and desperately in need of help/advice. I had a minor op in January and didn’t recover well afterwards - I also had a Mireya Coil placed during my op for some gynae problems. My body reacted very badly and I also had an infection - the GP ran some blood tests and I came back
